They are exploring boundaries of what is drivable as Max can do more than most of the people on the grid. But what if they've gone too far? No2 can't do anything, no2 garage is like exile... Moreover the own developed engine most likely will suffer from lack of maturity and experience. Across their history RB was able to collect constructor's title only when got a car miles ahead of everyone. It is not where they are in 24 and 25 and they do not have a chance to be there next year. That leads to one more consequence, playing catch up they will not achieve their preferable position. I believe the problem is they were trying to build best possible Verstappen's car instead of best possible car (which McLaren did)
