Five events in, there have been several false dawns as what appeared to be breakthroughs have not carried over in a car he admits he’s not gelling with. What’s more, after a promising start, things have been getting worse, not better.

2025-04-24 18:08:11 +0000 UTCI'm not a Hamilton fan. That said, I'll admit he's talented but I agree that these cars just don't suit him clearly. I'm honestly not sure what the long term benefit is for Ferrari paying him a fortune. It's also inevitable that as he ages, he will be more resistant to adapt, and the fact is that he will get slower.

If he was in his 2019 Mercedes I bet he would be right at the front again. It has to be him just struggling with these cars. Maybe in 2026 it’ll be easier for him to adapt since he’ll be a part of the development? Hamilton is still mega talented and it makes me sad not to see that shine through.
