Merlin cares because Arthur cares and Merlin cares about Arthur. And I don't think it's a 180 turn. Morgana always wanted Uther dead. Only in season 1, did she save him because of the emotions she felt at that moment. In season 2 she also wanted him to die only she didn't have the guts to do it. She knows that Uther would kill her if he knew she had magic and she knows that Arthur right now thinks the same about magic as Uther. And Gwen and Merlin is because she trusted Merlin and then he tried to poison her. And she doesn't hate Gwen but she is someone standing in her way. As her maid, Gwen is the biggest danger to find out her true intentions because a maid is always close by. So she has no one in Camelot left whom she can truly trust.

2024-05-06 07:54:32 +0000 UTCDon't drink everytime Morgana does an evil smirk in this episode 😅, i do think the 180 turn in her character between season 2's finale & season 3's premiere is very jarring which makes me wonder if morgause did something to her in season 2's finale when she casted that spell on her, probably not but no one changes that much that quickly, why is she so cold towards Gwen? It's so weird that she doesn't care about all the people she loved anymore, anyway i think unleashing poisonous scorpions on Merlin is very poetic since he tried to poison her lol, i can't believe Merlin found out about the spell coz he was tugging Uther in bed to make sure he's warm, why is Merlin caring about Uther's wellbeing is beyond me, he literally commited massacres against his kind, it's called the great purge for a reason
