🔧 F1 Tech Show: Ferrari's Chinese GP blunder - The mistakes that led to its double DSQ

Ferrari's Chinese Grand Prix weekend fell apart in embarrassing fashion when, after Lewis Hamilton's fine sprint race win on Saturday, both the Briton and team-mate Charles Leclerc were disqualified from Sunday's Grand Prix for excessive skid wear and an underweight car respectively. But how did one of F1's biggest hitting teams find itself in such a position?

That's the key question answered by former F1 technical director Gary Anderson in this episode of The Race F1 Tech Show.

Alongside host Edd Straw, Gary also takes a close look at how the rest of the big four teams' cars have performed over the first two races, plus he answers four tech questions sent in by listeners covering underbody airflow, front wing slot gaps, and more.

If you've got an F1 tech question you'd like answering on the show you can either leave it in the comments or send it to podcasts@the-race.com

Fantastic as always! Would personally fly Gary in for the Live Shows next time round! Quick ask, which may prove impossible- I would love to see what a worn plank looks like, as my minds eye has multiple images in it. I asked a McLaren mechanic at Austin this past year who was working on a Hot Laps car and, of course, that car didn't have one. If there's ever one discarded that you all come across, I'd love a visual of what it looks like originally and after enduring a normal (or abnormal) amount of wear. Cheers!

Awesome show as always Gary and Edd. As a Petrol Head, this show is the highlight of my Podcast Week. Love the quality of the questions asked. Proves that The Race is doing something right to attract such a mature audience and the only series of Podcasts to keep listening to. Thanks again to the entire team.
