Edd and Jon reflect on a newsy F1 weekend in China
Added 2025-03-24 15:30:03 +0000 UTCEdd Straw and Jon Noble have reconvened in their hotel in China for an exclusive Patreon debrief on the major talking points from the Chinese GP weekend.
They discuss a few additional details around Ferrari's double disqualification, how the top teams are all stacking up (and if we really know how big McLaren's advantage is), and they go over a few more points of interest around the V10 engines chat that is gathering momentum in the paddock.

2025-03-24 16:55:24 +0000 UTCI suspect also that the V6 hybrid is more applicable to future road car R&D than a V10 version and therefore more of a lure for the big brands that F1 wants to court

2025-03-24 16:44:13 +0000 UTCYeah good point, they look like tanks compared to 10 years ago already. I just don't see a future for hybrid in Motorsport full stop to be honest it's expensive and with Hydrogen technology surely coming in next few decades. I just don't see hybrids being the answer.

2025-03-24 16:08:07 +0000 UTCIs it possible for the V10 engine to replace the current V6 and have best of both worlds? In 2030 move to V10s with the hybrid and sustainable fuels. Want to note I'm not an engineer but surely it would be a great challenge to incorporate a V10 instead of a V6.
