The situation at Red Bull is dire but how do they plan to resolve it? And is there a solution that doesn't result in Liam Lawson's career shattering during the first quarter of his first full season? Red Bull need to get their act together and start making long term decisions and being proactive instead of being reactive.

Rasmus Wede

What are the current rumors regarding the Cadillac team's driver line up? Its been a bit quiet in that front lately. Any tangible information?

Rasmus Wede

Why isn't Álex Palou seriously considered for a f1 drive? SG-Mclaren contract blunder aside, what he has been (and very much is) doing in a one spec car and high competitive series is nothing but remarkable

Kristoffer Wallin

Why do Racing Bulls not set up their car in the same direction as red bull with extreme amounts of front end to better prepare their drivers for the red bull seat? That is what they are there for after all. Also, if Verstappen were to leave at the end of the year, does that not put Red Bull in an awful position of having to adjust their whole philosophy as whoever the next driver will be obviously won’t want the car set up in the same way since no one seems to be able to handle it apart from Max? Of course it’s the new regulations but it feels like the team will almost be having to start from scratch.

Dan Crossley

+1 for a return to Yuki sympathy corner.

Gordon Freeman

Why was Leclerc’s car drained of fuel in volume, while Gasly’s was in mass?

Harri Evans

I thought it might be an advantage because it visibly flexed down on the straights, perhaps reducing drag?

Daniel Hayes

Do drivers send decoy radio messages to confuse the opposition? If so how do the team know they're not real? Thinking George saying he can go to the end only to immediately pit.

Daniel Hayes

Is there any info on how the Red Bull sim drivers are doing? Presumably they can drive with Max's style and help fine tune the setup over the weekend? What are they doing that Liam isn't?

Bobby Dazzler

Can Yuki absorb all the pressure in Suzuka if He gets the RB second seat ?

Guillermo

Do you think it would be fun to try out joker laps during the Sprint Races? I was thinking the shortcut at turn 4. Maybe you get 3 during the race and you can’t use it on the first lap. It could be a fun strategic element for the sprint.

The Ferrari Fan Club Podcast

How about 2 stops minimum, must use 3 compounds in a dry race, someone winning from pole each race and the rest in dirty air and or tyre saving is going to get really dull really quick. Love all the pods guys!

Scuderia Irish

Is it time to set the car minimum weight without tires? Tire wear is clearly not a linear variable, with tires wearing very differently from team to team.

Daniel Nevett

Rather than Lawson, should Marko or whoever has designed the Red Bull be under fire? Only a 4 time World Champion and potential GOAT has been able to consistently get results in the Red Bull since Ricciardo left. Is the problem systemic within Red Bull, or have they really just been unlucky 4 straight times with #2 drivers?

Justin McIsaac

Was Charles' front wing endplate damage actually an advantage, as suggested by the F1TV commentators (presumably because it added more downforce thus easing wear on the fronts and possibly mitigating Ferrari's set-up missteps?)

Cade

RB seems to be in a mess & needs restructuring. Who should leave : Horner or Marko? Personally I feel Marko is the key issue.

Christopher Guimaraens

Is it time for Yuki Tsunoda sympathy corner? Broken wing notwithstanding the RB strategists fly under the radar for their constant errors.

Justin McIsaac

Good question

Christopher Guimaraens

With Redbull so far being so reluctant to sign tsunoda and Hadjar piecing together a decent weekend do you think there’s a realistic chance that he could usurp Tsunoda in his quest for a redbull seat

Xavier Maynard

Is Max really a teammate killer, or is it just that RBR keeps developing the car to be faster at the expense of balance, such that only Max can wrangle it? Max doesn’t seem to enjoy it, but he can handle it. It seemed each year the car moved away from Checo, more on the nose, but Christian would only talk about Checo needing to perform better. Checo and Liam are midfield drivers, but they’re better than what they show in the car. Maybe the problem is RBR development direction more than drivers?

Professor Graz

I was dismissive of Tsunoda sympathy corner after Australia, but now??? It seems a must.

Cory Caouette

Do you think RB's points make justice on their actual car performance or have they just made a mess of strategy that made them not capitalise on that?

Joao Sousa

I thought a reason Red Bull put Lawson into the second car was due to similar driving preferences (having the car on the nose). It still seems difficult for Lawson to handle. Is Red Bull doomed to not have anyone fill that void? Is there someone they could get that could handle that set up?

Shaina

Has Piastri improved to the point of becoming a serious title contender this season, or is it the car that has improved the most (focussing on tyre mgmt)?

Haris

Is Doohan trying to overdrive or is this his real performance?

Haris

Helmut Marko mentioned in an interview today Red Bull is going to have an emergency meeting next week. What are they going to focus on, just fixing the car or already replacing Lawson with Hadjar (looking at Marko's compliments about his driving)?

Haris

Where is the The Live Hub?!

Trayan Sarafov

Where did the Haas pace come from??

Andrew Narduzzi

Will we see Lindblad potentially elevated to the VCARB and Yuki to RBR? Not sure if Red Bull got the super license for him quite yet due to his age

Parker Brown

When Bortoleto spun.

Matthew Pope

Is the Red Bull actually a giant hunk of junk and Max is just doing other-worldly things in it? Or is it so specifically designed around Max that hardly anybody else can be comfortable in it?

Matthew Pope

Have Ferrari erred in making too many changes to their car? By the time they fully understand it they will be well out of the title races, and of course not helped by them fumbling all manner of things in the first 2 races.

Greg

Lawson doesn’t have big Mexican sponsors to buy him time, so surely his days are numbered in the Red Bull. They refuse to promote Tsunoda and replacing an inexperienced driver with another hasn’t worked well for RBR in the past. Is this Bottas’ time to shine and the glorious return of the sympathy corner?

Per Lorentz

Where has Carlos Sainz’s pace gone? He went missing this weekend.

Tony Geran

Was there even a yellow flag at any time in the race?

Roger Harvey

Lewis Hamilton for exceeding the permitted wear on his car, and Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly for being underweight. All disqualified Is could that be a reason Lewis was slower than Charles today? Was Lewis scrubbing speed by wearing the plank on the straights and Charles was underweight so had a tiny advantage. Even if small could that end up to a bigger difference between them?

Curtis Anthony

Rather than 'rewarding' Tsunoda with a Red Bull, shouldn't Horner/Marko be moving Max to the Toro Rosso/Alpha Tauri/RB Visacards? Surely, his best chance to be champion in 2025?

Gareth Rees

Was Lawson‘a race even worse than his qualifying? Considering Red Bull made significant changes to his car to try and get him more comfortable he only managed to finish in-front of Doohan because he got a penalty.

Tim

Err... well then...

Arron Riley

Are ferrari running things too close to the edge for performance? To probably have both disqualified for different technical reasons is unusual. Could Charles have had the same unexpected 1 stop tyre wear weight issue that russell got in Belgium last year?

Michael Horner

What would you each do if you were Marko in the 2nd Red Bull seat situation?

Alex Raghunath

With the very likely disqualifications of Leclerc and Hamilton, what is going wrong at Ferrari? 2 disastrous weekends

Hatman

RB were once again looking strong this weekend, with some claiming they had the second fastest package in Shanghai, but they suffered another slow collapse in the race due to strategy and drama for Tsunoda with a mechanical failure on his wing - are they squandering an early chance to lead the midfield this season? Side note, if things continue this way a Yuki Tsunoda/Fernando Alonso Sympathy Corner is surely on the cards!

Noel George

Surely the focus has to shift to Red Bull on them being able to provide two cars that are usable for both drivers. Gasly and Albon were both spat out by the Red Bull system after stuggling in the main team, both have gone on to show they're very good Grand Prix drivers. Lawson showed well against Tsunoda in the same car last year - in the Red Bull he looks lost. They cant keep blaming drivers in the second seat for not getting on top of it - something has to change from the team in their approach to the car otherwise they'll never win a constructors championship again.

Matt Hill

Another tough weekend for the second Red Bull driver. The situation being so dire that some are blaming the supernatural. This question might be better suited for BBV10 but are there any historical F1 ghost stories? cursed corners, jinxed drivers or hexed helmets?

Thorarinn Gunnarsson

How did Leclerc and Ferrari manage to be underweight after the race? Same thing for Gasly and Alpine!

Nick Tauber

Do F1 cars have (or have previously tried) asymmetric front wings? Given most circuits have an unbalanced number of left/right corners would this make sense? Leclercs asymmetric front wing for the race seemed beneficial!

Matt Tucker

Do you know why the turn 12 grandstand hasn't been in use since the early years of the Shanghai race? They talk about how the Chinese GP has been packed since its return, but they're not using the whole capacity of the circuit.

Anssi Rulamo

Do you think Fernando Alonso has given up on this season already? He seems a little dejected

Matthew Dowling

How do you explain Lewis Hamilton’s drop off in pace from the sprint race to the Grand Prix? From what felt like a relatively comfortable win in the sprint and he clearly had the upper hand over Leclerc to then struggling compared to Leclerc in the race even with Leclerc’s damage.

Ben Kelly

Given the qualifying performance at Aston Martin across so far, is it too soon to say that father time has finally caught up to Fernando Alonso?

Darryl Finch

Not a question more of a statement, it is clear to me now the RedBull is a one car team, I don’t think there is anyone on the grid that can jump in that second car and be close to max immediately. Imagine if Max went to Mercedes last year, they’d look like back-markers.

Kieron Holden

A lot's been said in Lawson's defence that Melbourne and Shanghai have been new tracks he hasn't driven at before. But teams have such advanced simulators these days that surely this is very little excuse for Lawson. We heard how Buemi pulled all nighters last season to help with setup work from Friday to Saturday, so the sims must be effective. Why can't Lawson acclimatise on the sim at Milton Keynes to a new circuit. 5-6 hours of experience there must count for more than an in-person visit to a circuit in F2 or Super Formula?

Jake Muttitt

Russell v Verstappen deserved to be this years championship fight. Two calm, methodical, constistent and error-free races by both this season.

Rohmilchkäse

What has happened to Alpine pre season test form? Have they dropped off or everyone else improved?

Troy Foote

I think Glenn needs to address this

Oscar Robledo

Did the 10 second penalty imposed on Doohan ruin any chance of Hadjar progressing any further up the order? If so, do the penalties imposed for ‘forcing another car off the road’ (and late moves in the braking zone’) befit the negative impact on other competitors’ race? (Sorry for asking two questions!)

Oscar Robledo

More a general question. Would Leclerc's car pass minimum weight scrutineering considering some of it was missing?

Arron Riley

Is Pirelli’s poor tyre performance in F1 simply due to a lack of pressure from no other tyre manufacturers seeking to enter the sport, or are they yet another casualty of these bloated, heavyweight cars and facing an impossible task?

Martin Hills

Have Haas managed to unlock the car's ultimate potential or is this result very track specific?

Maltese Falcon

What happens to Bring Back V10s, if V10s are actually brought back?!

Richard

With two strong results for Stroll and Aston Martin putting them 6th in the Standings (possibly 5th if Alonso found the checkered flag in both races), is the car better than expected or just fluctuating on pace track to track? Also with the return their development focus to 2025?

Will Johnstone

Lawson has entered the long list of drivers unable to tame the 2nd Red Bull. Which drivers on the current grid do you think could consistently get the Red Bull within even 2 tenths of Verstappen's pace? Are Max's preferences and therefore development direction so extreme that literally no-one else on the grid could cope?

Maltese Falcon

Pirelli raised tyre pressures through the weekend, yet several cars managed over 40 laps on a single tyre set. With minimal significant tyre data from one practice session on a new track surface, at what point did they make the decision and on what basis? Was it purely the step in lap time from 2024?

Chris L

Are front wing end plates overrated? The damage seemed to help Leclerc rather than hinder

Chris Campbell

With all the scrutiny on Doohan’s Alpine seat, how confident should Gasly be of his place in the team? Both Aus & China were gently underwhelming weekends where the (admittedly best case scenario) gap between him and Doohan was not particularly large. On the basis of his time at AT & RB Gasly is at his best in a supportive environment, which is not exactly the Briatore way. Given Doohan is almost certainly a fraction of the cost of Gasly, is a Doohan / Colapinto line up feasible, or does Renault retain enough of an interest in the team to ensure a French driver is in the line up?..

Barry Garlow

Out of curiosity were there any teams wondering albeit unbalanced, whether the damage on Charles’ front wing was allowing more flexing than anybody else? Otherwise what’s the end plates purpose as he was able to keep running at good speed

Oliver Dale

What on earth happened to Carlos in this race? He seemseemed to disappear on the TV coverage.

Oliver Dale

Where did Haas's pace come from on Sunday. How did they change their form from Aus to China

Kieran Sharkey

What was the cause of potential tyre pressure changes after the sprint?

Ranchdingus

A great 50th McLaren 1-2. But things would have looked different if the race was any lap longer. Could McLaren or Norris have anything different to prevent Norris‘ brake issues and was it a risk for him to dnf?

Nick Tauber

What happened with Ferrari Saturday to Sunday? Also specifically for Leclerc, where did that pace come from with half a front wing?

Robin BE

When do nominations close for this year's "sympathy corner?" Yuki Tsunoda must be a front runner just now after twice being shafted by strategy and suffering a random front wing failure today.

Dave Smith

Was the Hard - Medium strategy the fastest today? If one of the top 6 had started on the hard could it have been a different story entirely?

Will Witchell

What was the key to Haas turning it around this weekend? And which weekend did we see the real Haas?

Storme Martin

Who were the biggest losers from the flexi wing clarification? The Grove outfit? Enstone?

David Walton

Who is going to lose their seat first? Doohan or Lawson?

Michael Horner

Would love to know what you thought was worse, Liam’s qualifying or his race. Felt like the race pace was more damming for him seeing as he had an inability to pass anyone. At least when Checo bombed out in q1, he would recover and get some points on the Sunday

Callum Duffy

How do Racing Bulls always seem to turn a great qualifying into a poor result? Is it poor race pace, tyre degradation or bad strategy? And how have Haas suddenly come through with a double points finish?

Michael Horner

Considering Hamiltons results in the Ferrari over the last two weekends and how fast he's been able to catch up with Leclerc. How much has Russell's stock risen? His last two weekends have been quietly impressive and the only rookie teammate gap bigger is Max and Lawson.

Thorarinn Gunnarsson

Some pundits, and even Lando himself suggested this circuit might be one that McLaren would struggle on. Given what has just transpired, how hopeful can we remain that 2025 will see as much fluctuating in the “top 4” teams performances as we saw in the second half of 2024?

Michael Holden

Leclerc’s broken front wing seemed to be flexing a lot more and getting closer to the ground than the unbroken side, would this explain the seeming lack of performance loss?

Morgan

what happened to Racing Bulls and Ferrari’s pace??

JAG

I read in Mark’s Saturday report that nobody tried the Hards at any point during FP1. I realise time is limited but wouldn’t it have been great intel for a team if they put one of their drivers on it for a few laps?

Michael Passingham

Where did Ferraris pace go from the Sprint to the Race? How does their tyre wear compare to the other top teams?

David

Why did Ferrari and Hamilton fall apart after the earning pole position and victory in the sprint race?

Aaron

Why does the Ferrari fluctuate in performance so much? Going from sprint winners to p5 and p6 seems like a massive shift in performance.

Jose Cordero

What happened to Ferrari/Hamilton since the sprint? I know I know, dirty air etc, but was that the only difference from P1 to P6?

Dan Neale

Stroll has had two respectable races now, leaving me puzzled about just how good the Aston is. What are your thoughts on where Aston is at in the pecking order?

928pilot

Is there an explanation for RB's disastrous strategy calls week in and week out? They seem to continually do the wrong thing, not learn from data, and never split the strategy (dating back to last year). Do you think they will apologise to Yuki and Isack again this week?

Ian Carlin

Was Norris' brake issue caused by following. If he'd been leading all day would he have had the same problem?

James Nicholson

Time after time we see endplates go flying off and the affected car continue at pace. Does this show that there is more than a hint of guesswork when it comes to aero development?

Michael Passingham

How did Leclerc manage to maintain such strong pace with the damaged front wing? The graining was on the front left so I thought him having less down force on that corner would have exacerbated his issue.

Elliot Davison

Pre-season the talk was that Lewis would have 3 races to get fully up to speed with LeClerc. With such a mixed weekend, is he on track for that 3 race target or is there still work to do after he dropped off the pace in the full race?

Steve D

Are the Hards on 2010 level or is there something weird with the Track surface that makes the Mediums suffer while the Hards last for ever?

Rohmilchkäse

Also why did Racing Bulls commit BOTH their drivers to a two stop when it was becoming clear that it was possible to do the race on a single stop? Very disappointing for the car that qualified in Q3 to finish so low.

Alexander Law

Is it known what Lawson is struggling with specifically? He's spoken about tyre prep messing his quali but there must be more to it

Lewis Brumby

I have two simple questions. Who will Red Bull replace Lawson with, and how on earth will they justify it when they don't put Tsunoda in the car?

Rio

Why has antonelli been staring at the back of ocons car for most of the race? Ocon strength or antonelli weakness?

Bert Bertson

Haas' performance this weekend was a complete flip around from last week. Outside of strategy did their extended running in Bahrain on the harder compounds make a difference in passing race strategy?

Alexander Law

Rather than 10 second penalties, why cant the stewards/race director force a driver to yield? - if no longer possible, then a penalty is applied

Gareth Anstee

We’ve heard Will Joseph telling Lando to limit brake pressure as there is an issue, at which point should race control take notice? Could they issue a black & orange flag for a brake issue?

Christian Rose

How on earth did Haas bounce back to a double points finish?! (Posted 3 laps from home, hopefully no jinx)

Keir Thomas

Hi, I’m a new member from Germany and a big McLaren Fan since 2007. I want to learn a bit more about Andrea Stella work ethic. What kind of team principal is he in the paddock? I love his honesty in front of a camera.

Stefan Matthias

Are tsunodas radio messages still an issue? Or is it just that the broadcasters pick the ones where he is worked up.

Gavin Cameron @ the_loft_workshop

How did Racing Bulls get the strategy so wrong...again. they really should have had a double top 10 finish

Keir Thomas

Where did Hamilton's pace disappear from qualifying for the rest of the event?

James Nicholson

What is going on with Racing Bulls strategy?

James Nicholson

Hello all, I'm wondering what changed for Ferrari from Saturday to Sunday? Conditions? Thanks!

David Hiß

Has Antonelli been hampered by the sprint format and not being able to use the hard tyres in practice? Pace in the first stint looked good and the second stint on the hards less so. Considering the pace of the car and where it has qualified, how many points have Racing Bulls left on the table with poor strategy calls?

Thomas Knights

What changed for haas between Australia and China?

Jake

I’m sending this part way through the race, so apologies if the race changes drastically. This race seems another example of a race that should have been a two stop on the tyres, but in order to try and make a one stop work all of the cars drive slower and keep distance to manage tyre wear. While this all makes sense from a competitive perspective it does take away from the spectacle. Is there any changes you would like to see in place to avoid this, like a mandatory two stop race? I’ve always personally liked the idea of teams having to use all three dry compounds during a race to add to the strategy and reduce the need to conserve tyres. But I appreciate this goes against the cost saving measures of F1 and the FIA. Just for context I noticed that Hamilton managed to break the Qualifying lap record, but the same cars were 4 seconds off of the Race lap record, set by Schumacher in 2004.

James Godfrey-Moon

It seems Leclerc losing his endplate has actually benefitted him Wrg to balance and certainly straight line speed. Surely though, the wing is flexing far more than it should be, thus making it illegal to the point of the FIA forcing the component to be changed. With their awareness of the flexi regs I honestly thought they’d enforce the wing to be changed during the pit stop

Michael Suli

Only two races in, but does two make a trend already in the Albon v Sainz duel?

Jan Alexander

Is Lance the Aston Martin team leader now? Is Fernando WASHED??

David Walton

In a universe where Max DID go to Merc this year and Red Bull had Perez & Lawson, where on earth would they be?

Arron Riley

In the F1 Tv commentary they were discussing how Charles is going faster even with a damaged front wing. It was discussed that with a broken front wing soo close to the ground helps regain lost down force. So Leclerc is going faster. Is that one of the reasons for Leclerc superiorty in the race

Hari

This weekend may be the harshest evidence that Red Bull has a serious car problem and Red Bull took too much time beating their second driver. I get a sense of the time mclaren was only blaming the honda engine for their problems and as soon as they had the renault engine they realized the depth of their car problem. So, was this weekend in the realm of normale Performance swings or is Red bull in more trouble than we and they had realized?

Ben

Why is there no INEOS branding on the Mercs this year? Ratcliffe still owns 1/3 of the team…

David Walton

Had Antonelli not been undercut, do you think he would've had the raw race pace to stick with the top 6? He looked quite underwhelming and off pace but I suspect that was just a result of being undercut by the RBs

Duncan Bertram

Is it possible that leclerc's broken front wing is actually benefiting him as it is obviously flexing more than anybody else's as the left side drags almost on the tarmac, could this be enabling him to dump way more drag and somehow not harm his front left? If so would this not be an easy target for a rival to protest at the end of the race as the excessive flex in the wing is so obvious

anon mk

Did Pirelli get the tyres compounds wrong? With the high degradation affecting the racing and drivers preferring the Hard tyre should Pirelli have gone harder on their choice?

Henri Hayler

As the front left tyre receives the most punishment at the Shanghai circuit, when Leclerc lost his front left endplate on lap one I'd have thought that was his race completely ruined. So how come it didn't? Did it inadvertently improve car balance?

Stuart Coulter

What impact is Leclerc’s damaged front wing having on his pace? The team said over the radio that the downforce loss was 30 points but his pace seems very strong. Is the extra flexing beneficial or was his pace that strong that he is quick in spite of the damage?

Michael Sanderson

Is there a different way to adapt your driving to tyres graining Vs tyres degrading?

Ben K

All the noise around Red Bull and which driver to partner with Max - a way to distract from car issues? If we assume Max is pulling more out of the car than he should, and with qualifying so close, Liam is only 0.8 behind Max in Quali Q1 which could be compounded by the Max Factor and the Rookie Factor (new to the car). Should they fix the car and then discuss the driver issue if it is an issue at that point?

Lonnie Readioff

With all the 2nd drivers struggeling in the red bull, clearly there is something wrong with the car. How can red bull get out of this misery? Surely it‘s not all on Lawson?

Jan Robohm

How can a car go faster than its sister car with a broken front wing? Does it show that many of the aerodynamic tricks are just needless?

Ed Mars

Why do you think Lewis was so quick and comfortable for the sprint but nowhere near the pace on Sunday?

Liam Scully

What was with Ferrari team orders, wasn't there risk that Leclerc could get mandatory pitstop to change front wing?

URBAN MOTO-BIKE

Hi guys. After watching sprint/qualifying day i am curious for your thoughts on Landos performance and attitude. I was really surprised to see him abort the final qualifying run because he was down on the delta. Oscar seemed to be a similar amount down and decided to go full send to try and make up the time. Between this and what seemed to be a lack luster sprint race do you think he still has some way to go with his mental preparation to win the championship? Especially if he was to be challenged by Lewis or Max.

James Rowland
