I wonder how much talent/brain drain happened when RBPT was set up and Honda hadn’t committed to 2026 - did Red Bull grab key people? The talk of Honda having to build up their F1 effort again when they decided to come in after all I’m also intrigued to know how similar the combustion engine part of the new powertrains compare to the V6s in the current hybrids - how much carry over is there beyond being a turbo charged V6?

Another excellent video, thanks guys! Fascinating to see all the moving parts behind the scenes - I'm really interested in the new fuels, and how that will factor into performance in '26. It's a totally new variable and I'd love to understand more about how different approaches may impact what we see on the track.

I’m sure the powertrain is a mighty struggle for this and all manufacturers. The ICE itself won’t be the major issues but I think the major difficulties will be in the regen, storage and deployment side of the power train. Important marginal gains in ICE but fundamental issues and thinking on the other side of the equation. Cadillac may well be struggling more!
