Take two! Bring Back V10s host Glenn Freeman sits down to work through another brilliant bundle of comments and questions from all of you, in reaction to our episode on the 2002 US GP at Indianapolis!

(Apologies for the problem with the initial upload - hopefully it all works this time!)

BBV10s Debrief: 2002 US Grand Prix (full show)

Comments

It is measured to a hundredth of a second while the USA 02 finish was to a thousandth of a second.

James Atkinson

Love these debriefs. Thanks Glenn! Appreciate the time and research.

Ben DePew

Loving the debrief of the debrief in the comments section! Was not the 71 Italian GP the closest Finish ever?

Chris Parrott

In answer to Glenn's question - I try to watch the Patroen video version time permitting but if I don't get a chance to I revert to the audio version 👍🏻

Stuart Coulter

That's a good shout. Total cheat answer, but Twin Ring Motegi (which doesn't use any of the oval but with the road course running within the oval and a section running underneath the oval and outside it)

Stuart Coulter

Would it have been the presenter Matthew Lorenzo you're thinking of?

B feed on F1 digital+ I’m sure it had Damon Hill, Perry McCarthy and one other I can’t remember.

Love these! For the record I tend to listen to the podcast version as it's normally on in the background when I am working etc

Jimmy Linn

I never saw Michael's actions as "bad" I always figured that he felt bad about Austria and wanted to set the record straight.

Jason Rhode

I went hunting for thr transcript of the press conference after the race, sadly I couldn't find it, but I could find Joe Saward's explanation for Mad Max's nonsense; https://www.grandprix.com/news/mosleys-world-tour.html

Another brilliant debrief. Well done Glenn. I love your tenacity and enthusiasm for answering/responding to all of our questions/comments.

That Grand Prix 3 reference combined with how the graphics looked was amazing. Took me right down memory lane - I also remember those blue/white graphics mainly from the mods for that game! Great times...

Maybe it's my own eternal struggle with increasing radius corners, but I agree the Daytona infield is difficult. Now I'm only talking sim here, but I don't think I've ever been completely satisfied with myself by the time I get back to the banking.

Zach Buchowski

Hope your cold to be a short one Glenn! During the last few minutes of this episode I was actually texting my friend about how we've both gotten sick in the past couple days. EVERYONE seems to be sick at the moment so this might not be too unbelievable to be fair lol

Zach Buchowski

In regards to the comment around the evolution of the podcast in like the 29 to 30 minute mark, i have to say that in the early days Glenn sound a little bit too relaxed to me and he seemingly gets more excited and energized as the series pile on! Also we truly all appreciate the work done, BBV10s has been a nearly daily part of my life since 2020! Thanks again to everyone!!!!

The 2002 US GP was the race that made my friend and I give up betting on F1 races. It just felt futile when the results could be so manipulated.

Justin Gagen

In response to the road course comment around 01:30 - Daytona. I think it’s remarkably simple but effective and surprisingly challenging.

Nicholas Langdon

About the best broadcast from around the world, I remember that Radio-Canada (the French CBC) was complimented for showing other fights instead of only the front runners, for the Montreal GP.
