I too loved the 90s snooker-90s F1 comparisons, I got into both snooker and F1 at the same time, around 1992-94. I always thought of Ayrton Senna-Nigel Mansell as the nearest V10 era analogue to Stephen Hendry-Jimmy White. There's a definite parallel with Schumacher-Hill as well - Schumacher and Hendry certainly had much in common - but I didn't think of Damon as being as analogous to Jimmy in terms of flair and drama. Also, Jimmy White almost won a title for the first time on his birthday in '94 (he missed a black off its spot when looking likely to win the decider), which contributed to the extent to which I relished Jean Alesi winning Canada '95 on his birthday, as it felt like it partly made up for Jimmy missing a maiden birthday win.

Many thanks Glenn for answering! Loved the answer involving a Hendry-Jimmy comparison! I'll try keep it to strictly F1 next time. Love hearing that Edd is a huge snooker fan, although I may have opened the floodgates to questions relating to different sports!

Bring back Snooker! Happy to see some crossover fans here, and I'm a member of that club too. And we're not the only ones either... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaeabUmhXbc

Two things that always strike me about Spa in the 90s - the tarmac run-off at La Source that some drivers used to full extent and others not at all and I was always wondering what's actually faster. And the old Bus Stop chicane, because it was so hilariously out of sync with the rest of that gorgeous track that it had it's own slightly weird charm. Don't know how others feel about that though.

Regarding the issue with Eau Rouge and potential crush over the crest that drivers can not see. Why not put a big video screen with a live feed of whats happening over the crest just before drivers enter the corner? This way they would at least have a chance to react faster

Love these! Are we sure it wasn't an Edd Straw burner account sending in the Inoue question 🤔

90s snooker comparisons to 90s F1. Brilliantly niche and I'm here for it.

Great work Glenn - and really good member questions too. I’m loving how we can watch these Videos in the Patreon app.
