Ad-free MotoGP pod: What KTM crisis means for its race programme

How can KTM's MotoGP programme continue when its parent company is in a financial crisis headlined by €3billion of debts?

Special guest Markus Zoerweg from Motorsport-Magazin.com joins Simon Patterson, Val Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer as The Race MotoGP Podcast delves into KTM's problems and their implications.

We explain how KTM ended up in so much trouble so quickly and how big an effect it could have on the region where it's based, as the repercussions go far beyond its motorsport efforts.

The consequences for KTM's 2025 season are explored too, but its inability to commit yet to the major regulation change of 2027 is likely to be the bigger problem.

How its superstar young rider Pedro Acosta and KTM stalwart Brad Binder will react plus how major new signings Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales will feel as they arrive in the middle of it, and what it all means for the huge young talent programme KTM has in place are all discussed too.

I fear CRT days will be forced on us if we don’t market the sport better and get rid of F1 like procession brought on by irrelevant technology

I worry every time some manufacturer has pressure to be a strong participant in MotoGP. It is only heightened by irrelevant aero and ride height device spend which seems to be the primary last mile to victory. I hope we bring the cost down of racing and keep it 1000cc vs forcing people to build a new engine / chassis and start the optimization process all over. KTM may be Ready to Race but their street bike business has never been tired to racing as Ducati for example. Also question, is KTM is trouble or Pierre Mobility? Can Bajaj who co owns take them over?
