Here on 1997 Revisited we look back at how the penultimate round of the season shaped what was to come, from Jacques Villeneuve's inexplicable yellow flag infringement in practice, how he and Williams approached the race once he was reinstated under appeal, and how Ferrari and Michael Schumacher avoided all of Williams's traps - and some late interference from Damon Hill - to gain the upper hand in the title race.
