Do you have any insights on what these new “driving standards” regulations might be that were mentioned as coming in for Qatar might be? Has the change in race director had any impact on this?

Brandon H

Do you think Charles' outburst was justified? Or where the circumstances just unlucky?

David Hiß

Without the poor qualifying session. Would Hamilton have won the race? I've had the feeling this weekend Russell had him covered pace wise

callum smith

Was there a technical problem with the Team radios across the grid? And why did Ocon go directly back on track after he saw his mechanics missing instead of going into the pitbox? Would his car have overheated being stationary while waiting for the tyres?

Rohmilchkäse

Would definitely be Austin!

Mark Knight

Legitimately confused by this question. What are you referring to in the race?

Ian Carlin

With Verstappen clinching his 4th WDC, where would you rank him out of all drivers to have raced in F1?

Ryan Davies

When is Yuki going to get a shot at the Red Bull? Surely he's proven he's the 2nd best driver in their current stable...

Katrina

Why did Ferrari not prioritise LeClerc over Sainz?

Katrina

For those of you in Vegas: watching TV, the feeling I got of the crowd in the stands and around the podium was rather dispassionate. Was it the same on the ground?

David Hiß

Congratulations to Max Verstappen on a 4th world title! With the drivers title in the bag, how strong a favourites are current constructors leaders McLaren in that battle, considering Ferrari probably hoped for a bigger gain today? Who finishes 6th also? Thanks as always for all the coverage!

Daniel Ingleton

When can we finally stop criticising and downgrading Yuki Tsunoda for being immature and "not ready" for the Red Bull seat for how he handles himself in the car when we get radio messages like Charles Leclerc's after the race today? We need to stop the narrative of passionate vs. immature or the media is being racist.

Ian Carlin

I'm kinda wondering too, is this combative nature being seen by Red Bull as being desired or slightly detrimental over the course of a season, with cost cap risks for breaking parts and cars being more critical now alongside robust racecraft.

Alexander Law

This might be more of a question for Gary and the tech show podcast, but what are the main causes of power unit failures in the current generation of cars? They are unbelievably reliable now and seeing two in a race is very rare, especially in a 'spectacular' way like Gasly's did at Las Vegas. The teams don't really talk publicly about what happened, with good reason, and the power units are so complex now that there are so many potential points of failure.

Alexander Law

What explains the large fluctuations in form between the McLaren drivers? Piastri is starting and ending ghe season significantly behind Norris. Ironically Piastri's peak was right as McLaren were having to consider prioritising Norris, but has dropped off since Singapore?

Adam Barton

At the time of writing how did Sainz not get a penalty

Alex Hindley

While I agree with Edd's view about Alpine giving up works engine status, do engine failures like this give more understanding and justification to abandoning their project and taking on Mercedes power?

Alexander Law

You've mentioned Red Bull's unwillingness to pair up Verstappen with a driver that can challenge him (in reference to Alonso, Russell, and Sainz). Why is Red Bull the only team with this attitude? McLaren have paired Piastri with Norris, Mercedes has placed Russell next to Hamilton, and now Ferrari are bringing Hamilton next to Leclerc. This is especially a problem since they're trying to replace Perez with a better driver, but they also can't get anyone too good.

AdPo

Did Hamilton's mistakes in Q3 ultimately cost him the win? Or at least deprive us of a great battle for the win. With Colapinto measuring up against Albon a lot closer than Sargaent ever did and Sainz coming in as Albon's team mate next year is it a critical period for Albon if he wants to come out as the top driver in Williams?

Thomas Knights

Does this count as an opportunity missed by Ferrari in their fight vs McLaren in the constructors?

Chris Parrott

Will the damage suffered by Williams in the last 2 races (effectively 3 major rebuilds) run the risk of the team breaching the budget cap, and are there provisions to allow a breach if a team runs out of budget with one or more races to go?

Oscar Robledo

Is Liam Lawson getting a bit of a reputation for being too heavy handed in wheel to wheel combat? The first few races it was just viewed as, sort of ‘feisty’; but he seems to be getting involved in 2/3 incidents that are at the very least ‘noted’ by the stewards each race

Dan Neale

Asking this on lap 13 of the GP. Why do you guys think the Mercedes has been so good this weekend? I don’t believe anyone expected them to be any higher than 3rd/4th fastest but they seem to be the clear fastest car. Could it simply be the cooler weather? What does this mean for their development since they seem to have one fairly consistent variable that brings them right into the fold?

Miles Mason

Why were so few hard compound tyres allocated this weekend?

Bert Bertson

Why oh why they approve soo bad anthems.? 😊😊 Love your shows.

Otto Orban

We’ve seen both Gasly and Albon perform much better since moving away from red bull and I feel confident that if Perez was to move to another team he’d perform more like his racing point/force India self than the version we’re seeing now. With that in mind do Red Bull have to take some blame for creating a culture and environment where the second driver can’t succeed?

Ben Saint

Given recent results and team performances are you higher on Aston Martin going into 2025 or Alpine? If either team has a driver opening next year which team would you pick to go to, who has the most optimistic future going into new regulations? (Sent before race)

Mursock

I've been curious about this too!

Stranded_Colourwork

With Colapinto's moment in Quali (despite being the lead qualifying Williams this weekend, pre pitlane start decision), there are some comparisons being made on social media - comparing his and Sargent's crash bills. At this point, how fair (or appropriate) is a direct comparison between the two?

Stranded_Colourwork

Sending this before the race so it might age poorly but, Haas seems to be much better in the post Gunther era, what changed and was it more than just a new team principal?

Esteban Rivera

With those qualifying results (and pace) in huge improvement in the last few races, has Alpine won his bet of changing car concept at the beginning of 2024 in prevision of 2025? It is not that bad of a season point-wise and 6th is not far away from initial expectations.

Julien

They decided to switch races around due to temperature before. Why have they not made a point to say that Vegas should be moved closer to US GP so that the evening temps are nice pur?

Ethan Fish

Regarding the 2025 Max-teammate betting pool, with Checo running out of excuses, Franco maybe shunting his way out of contention, concerns about Liam's ultimate speed and readiness, is the Yuki lottery ticket getting ready to hit? It seems if you were looking strictly for 2025 results, Yuki would be their best bet, see how it plays out and even have Liam to swap in midseason if indicated. Otherwise I'd rather see Valtteri in there for a year. Your view?

Professor Graz

How did Alpine suddenly get so much better seemingly overnight?

Christopher Davis

My question is purely hypothetical (no right or wrong answer): The powers to be at F1 decides that 3 US GPs per season is too much. They are going to drop it back to 2 a year, making one of them a staple on the calendar, and alternate between the other 2. Question: which US GP would you make permanent, and why?

Michael Holden

I know that altitude affects engine performance, but how do the low temperatures change things? Apart from the reduced need for cooling. Thanks

Gavin Cameron @ the_loft_workshop

Does the LV combination of night race, street circuit, and cold temps make it the “perfect” joker race or is it just too much?

David Baker
