Matt was granted unprecedented and unlimited access to Mercedes for the 2023 and 2024 seasons and fully embedded himself in the team during that period, sitting behind Toto Wolff in the garage, attending engineering debriefs, studying simulator sessions in the factory, and even sitting alongside race strategists during grands prix.
In this interview, he explains the process he adopted in writing the book and why Mercedes' stuttering form during the period he was with them provided the perfect context for what makes the multiple world championship winners tick.
