You know the drill: drop your burning question from the Mexican GP weekend below, and Edd will pick as many as he can to answer in our post-race podcast!

As was the case last weekend for Austin, get them in either pre-race or as soon as you can after the chequered flag, as due to timezones the guys will be recording closer to the end of the GP than they do for earlier races.

At what point will McLaren stop prioritising Norris? Has it provided any benefit to Norris in the championship fight?

Adam Barton

Is Max Verstappen playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers? His racing probably stopped Lando from winning and reduced the amount of points Lando would have gained on Max, even if he came p4

Callum Duffy

Do you think Max’ driving style will change in light of the penalties given during the Mexico GP, or is he just willing to accept penalties as long as he keeps Lando from taking large chunks out of his lead?

Robert Simpson

I think in this case he wanted to manage his tyres, which obviously Charles wasn’t since he was pushing to catch, which he paid for later in the race

Robert Simpson

How is it, that when asked in the post race pen, Perez says he is 100% certain in his seat with Redbull for 2025 to try win the Mexican GP again next year? No disrespect to Perez, but I really feel like I am missing something here? With Redbull now falling to 3rd in the Constructors and eager drivers outperforming in lesser cars, I’m struggling to justify his confidence.

Luke D

How did Sainz pull out such a large gap in the first stint against Leclerc? It seemed to balloon from about a second quite quickly.

Alex Raghunath

I feel there is double standard with Ferrari. When Carlos is behind he tries everything to overtake his teammate but as soon as he is the one under pressure he wants team orders and not be attacked

Nevin Knowles

With no title since 2008 for Ferrari or McLaren (1999 for the Constructors), who would the Constructors championship mean more to?

Adam Barton

Some said that Lando was weak in battle at COTA against Max. But did Mexico show that he has switched tactics and is trying to get under Max’s skin and win psychologically as much as trying to beat him on track? And could that be his biggest strength in the final 4 races?

Steve D

Why didn't Red Bull leave Verstappen out and force Norris to pass on track or did they think the damage was already done in preventing Norris catching the Ferraris?

Adam Barton

Can you define the differences and the thinking between Norris and Verstappen at t4 and the later incidents involving checo at the same turn thanks

Gavin Cameron @ the_loft_workshop

What are the chances RedBull will ask Verstappen to driver closer to the rule book until the end of the season given that he gave up a solid 4th place finish by taking on so many clear penalties?

Juan Arevalo

I will always continue to argue that what we saw today and previous similar examples is not - in fact - racing at all. Actions like that actively prevent "racing" from happening. You can't do this with open wheel cars. I think the next thing we need to try is no touching the white line with any part of the tire at any time. And if you do, the FIA calls in an airstrike.

Zach Buchowski

Do you think Max’s driving is too aggressive? Will it take Lando crashing into Max rather than yielding to change the way Max competes with him? It feels like Max has the psychological edge over Norris and uses this by being more aggressive

Ben Harwood

They are racers and only think of winning but surely, at this stage in the championship, Max just needs to race sensibly and stay as close to Norris as he can in each race. Why is he racing so desperately and not tactically? I know it's not in his nature but it all seems very daft to me.

Ryan Norrie

Do you think or heard anything from the paddock that Ferrari might be regretting letting Carlos go for Lewis ?

Hayden Hodgson

I loved Liam Lawson not giving Perez an inch as if showing him who is taking his seat. Will this encourage red bull to put him in the car next year?

Jack Lunn

I have no doubt that max is the fastest (and best) driver on the grid but is this race more proof that he cannot accept being beaten and instead turns to literally driving people off of the track as if it is a video game

Jack Lunn

Are the young guns who are fighting for their spot in F1 (Lawson and Colapinto) showing exactly the kind of aggression and ruthlessness that you need to make it in the big leagues right now? Or are they starting to get carried away a bit and overdo it by engaging in too many unclean battles on track as well as causing unnecessary distractions like the finger and some minor media controversies?

David Trippler

A question on pit stop penalties; when serving a penalty you can’t work on the car, therefore no mechanic can touch the car. I noticed however one of the red bull mechanics was pumping cool air into the duct of the car during Max’s penalty stop whilst not touching the car. Could this be classed as working on the car? Considering Max had a 20 second penalty this would have given him a sizeable advantage over the others to cool the engine.

Rob Browning

With penalties, would it be more consequential to have on-track penalties separated from pit stops (e.g drive through or long lap penalties like in MotoGP?)

Alexander Law

How much have the circuit characteristics of the last two circuits played into Ferraris hands, or is it just overall pace?

Arron Riley

did Leclerc throw away second by chasing sainz ?

Seán Rooney

Jolyon Palmer mentioned that the kind of racing we like to see is when the drivers leave room to actually race each other. Why can't F1 just have the Fernando Alonso rule? "All of the time you have to leave a space!"

carma strikes

Considering the struggles Ferrari had with their smaller turbo in 2022/2023, how surprising was this weekend from them and what have they done to overcome this issues they had in previous years?

Thomas Knights

is Haas actually that good? Was the Toyota boost real? Is it Ferrari's wind tunnel?

carma strikes

Will max ever learn haha

Michael Suli

Was this a weekend where Kevin Magnussen showed he is a lot better than some people think he is? He was superb all weekend. Also with all the talk of Alonso's 400 weekends, is it mean to point out it is now over 400 races without a podium for KMag/Hulkenberg, their only podium was KMag's first race . It is pretty astonishing for 2 drivers as good as them!

Thomas Knights

Why didn’t Perez get a penalty for forcing Stroll off? Looks really similar to what happened between Max and Lando.

Michael Grayless

Why is Max racing Lando worse than he raced Lewis back in 21? And it appears to be rubbing off on Perez, why the desperation? It appears everyone else can race each other normally and respectfully.

Jasper Pendlebury

Has Norris ever made a successful pass on Verstappen?

Owen B

Can we say, post autumn mini-break, that Red Bull has recovered its one lap pace but it is still behind Ferrari & McLaren on race pace?

Chris Parrott

Where the heck did Ferrari’s performance come from?? Isn’t Mexico always a weak race for them?

Stevn Long

Was the Mexico GP the race when Red Bull imploded?

Nick of Oz

How are we going to dissect this latest case of Verstappenstance?

Sam Douglas

Why does Lawrence Barretto ALWAYS ask drivers to tell him how bad they are feeling when something goes wrong. Sorry you don't need to answer that obviously. I just needed to complain to people who probably understand after he did that to Yuki just now during the race and also yesterday with Checo after Q1 and also a million times prior.

Zach Buchowski

Does Pierre Gasly have a more updated car than Ocon or is he outperforming him by that far?

Adam Sargent

If I remember correctly, at the start of the season the minimum time penalty was 10 seconds. Now we see drivers are given 5 seconds as penalties again. When was this changed? Is there anything interesting you have to share on this? Or is this me getting confused in this long season?

Seb Rein

A couple of Red Bull/driver market questions. Could any of the delay in Sauber announcing a second driver have to do with seeing what Red Bull does with Perez? He seems like he’d make a good option in a team like that for 2025. Also, what happened to Ayumu Iwasa? He seemed pretty highly rated by RB last year but doesn’t get any mention as an option any longer.

Brandon H

Apart from Antonelli and Bearman, who (if any) of the other FP1 stand-ins has the potential to make it in F1?

Jan Alexander

Are there statistics on the Right of review as a process? E.g. Appeals made vs rejected vs processed vs decisions overturned... If so, how would you interpret them? E.g. Is it working as a mechanism to keep the FIA accountable or is it just for show?

Hanna

Edd, now that we have established your love for buying hats at the track. The fans must know, did you buy a track side sombrero in Mexico?

Stevn Long

With four races to go and Red Bull losing P2 in the constructors championship due to Perez Q1 exit alone. How can Red Bull justify keeping the underperforming Perez based on a purely financial standpoint. Perez has not taken a Q1 exit and turned it into a podium, which would lead me to believe that they lost the constructors championship this year purely on Q1 exits from Perez and losing that track position. If Lawson/Tsunoda are cheaper drivers salary wise, and couldnt perform any worse, why spend the money on Perez?

Ethan Fish

How much does another good weekend for Lawson and bad weekend for Checo ramp up the pressure on Checo? Will the increased pressure lead to a further drop in performance?

Michael Moorwood

I wouldn’t question Oscar’s morals or integrity around deliberately not getting through Q1, however, psychologically after ‘agreeing’ to support Lando do you think this has led to a drop in form? Outside of Baku where he didn’t need to support as Lando was so far back.

Sam Douglas

If Sergio Perez does get the tin tak from red bull, could that spell the end of the mexican gp?

Ben K

I read it as a way of controlling the narrative. The subsequent clarification of the rules of engagement was probably their actual desired outcome

Simon Emms

Why did so many drivers give up P1 when P2 was a pirelli test? And why no action against Toto for calling the stewards biased on the team radio at Austin?

Gavin Cameron @ the_loft_workshop

Did Mclaren actually think they'd get anything out of the "right of review", or do we think they did it to prove the overtaking rules need updated.. again!
