There's never been any suggestion of that from Ricciardo or even any vague rumour of something. So it's more likely to be related to the shift in the car dynamics in F1 and Ricciardo's strengths and limitations. We get into that in the next F1 podcast episode. Edd

Is there any indication of Ricciardo getting an injury between Renault/McLaren drives? It feels very similar to post-injury drivers (eg Herbert, Massa) where there was still the skill, but they were missing something. Or am I trying to explain something that doesn't need explaining because I like the guy?

Genuinely gutted for the way he has been treated. Awful to watch his emotional interview. Right decision, wrong way to do it

Redbull’s issue is they have 4 seats to fill. Too many choices will always lead to indecision. You don’t see other teams struggling so much to make these decisions to fill their seats.
