Exclusive members-only Q&A with Gerhard Berger

Thanks to F1 Clash for helping us to speak to Gerhard Berger about his final F1 win. Check out Gerhard and all the other new Legends added to the game now! https://f1clash.onelink.me/iViG/TheRacePodcast

Multiple grand prix winner and F1 star from the 1980s and '90s, Gerhard Berger, joins Glenn Freeman to answer a superb range of questions from The Race Members' Club.

Get ready to hear stories about racing with Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell, plus his friendship with Jean Alesi. Plus we find out what it was like swapping teams with Michael Schumacher in the mid-1990s, why things didn't work out at Benetton, and what Flavio Briatore was like to drive for.

Gerhard also talks about his close links with Red Bull, and the role he played in helping it to sign Adrian Newey. He also gives a great description of what it was like to prepare for a qualifying lap in F1's crazy era of turbo engines and sticky qualifying tyres, and talks to us about some of the management roles he held in motorsport after his driving career finished.

Thank you to everyone who sent in a question for us to ask Gerhard. We got through as many as we could, and he was very generous with his time, but unfortunately we couldn't fit them all in!

That was a joy to listen to. Loved his "you had to turn off your brain to the maximum" line 😂

One aspect of F1 drivers that is not often talked about is negotiating skills. Gerhard was (is) great at it going by the stories he tell or other points of his career that have been mentioned in older episodes.
