Many F1 fans will remember Richards through his time with the Benetton and BAR F1 teams, and may know that he’s currently chairman of Motorsport UK. But he also came very close to bringing Prodrive - so successful in rallying, touring cars and sportscars - into F1 on two occasions. In fact, you could argue that Prodrive is the best team to never race in F1…

2024-08-15 21:35:01 +0000 UTCThis was a fantastic one Edd, had been a fan of Prodrive front their Subaru days and always disappointed that their association with F1 was never on their own terms. But really loved their work in every other motorsport genre, WRC with Subaru & Mini, WEC with Ferrari and Aston, Dakar, just to name a few. A real modern motorsport manufacturing polymath.
