Here's a rejected thumbnail for my last video "20 songs that doomed iconic bands".
Still in Sweden, the visa renewal is moving slowly so I'm processing what I wanna do with new styles of videos, what thumbnails to use etc. Def wanna try to merge the music making part of my life with the video making.
Hope you're all well and PLEASE share any more thoughts you have on videos with music making in them. Appreciate ya!

He politely explained to you that it hurt his feelings and then you apologized for it. If it ended there, everything would be fine. Then you decided that that somehow was a personal attack on you. Quite a few people have tried to explain to you that no one was mad at you and that you needed to just step back and take a breath. You have been attacking everyone about it since. You have especially been attacking Joel when he did not do anything wrong. That is what everyone is a upset about.

It’s the way you’re behaving while everyone is trying to help you calm down and view this situation from his point of view on his Patreon where we are supposed to be supporting him. You’re allowed to have opposing opinions. You’re allowed to have suggestions. No one is mad at you for that. What everyone is trying to get you to understand is that the words you chose to use made it come across as bashing and about you instead of helpful. And then when others tried to clarify that, you decided to be victimized instead of listening and trying to see how things are coming across to others. And I get how a bunch of people suddenly all responding at once to be “on Joel’s side” could seem like a personal attack against you, but it wasn’t. It was in the hopes of better understanding all around.

For the video ideas I mentioned some in the previous post, but to add another one lol maybe consider continuing doing the voice memo songwriting, but instead of using just one voice memo per song, combine multiple voice memos to create a song? And maybe show the process of creating the song? I really hope u are doing well! 🙂

Stefanie I'm really sorry to hear that u aren't doing ok and I really hope that u can find some help for ur depression, it's not easy, I know, but I hope u feel better in the future. At the end of the day we are responsible for our own happiness and mental health, it's not anyone else's job to make us happy. For what I have seen, Joel does care and he is kind and I didn't see that as him lashing out. He just politely let u know how ur comment made him feel and asked u to be mindful in the future. Hopefully, the department of homeland security will approve your visa soon. I can only imagine how back up they are. America having problems with immigration right now (I will leave it at that; I will not respond to any comments that to argue with me on that). I’m thinking about the time that Jack, Daniel, and you had the hot wings challenge. That got over a million views. I think you need to make these song writing videos are entertaining as possible. I actually watched that hot wing challenge more than once. Your audience is not use to this kind of content. When you make a songs out the DMs, I’m sure there were so many people, including me, that felt left out. I’m not sure why you want to keep pushing this content.

But to add another brainstormy, half-formed thought… If you show us a lot of inspiration and story (as others have mentioned), then it gives non-musicians an “in.” Because everyone in your audience has taste and ideas and personal stories, but we don’t have the skill to execute on the level that you do. It would combine the strength of your relatability with the strengths of your songwriting and production. And maybe a way to bring us with you more fully in your creative process. Also if you involve your audience in the idea-generation stage, you wouldn’t really need to give up control because I think we’d expect you to take a certain amount of artistic license if our input sucked ass

Maybe find an opera/metal/country/whatever singer and follow a day in their life, learn what they do and at the end perform or make a song in that style. Maybe more videos with imput from viewers. Logistics and admin is a pain, but ik you like to stay on your stuff...enjoy the fam in the mean time tho. As far as music making and videos, I personally like to hear whatever goes on in your big brain. I wonder doing something as a series rather than trying to cram it all into one video would allow for a little more fleshing it out.

The thumbnail is too cool for YT, Mr Beast and Ali A are to blame for the block colour, shocked face thumbnails it's about time for a change up! Are you allowed to put the logos on thumbnails? Last time I tried Warner Bros copyright striked my account, but then they also didn't like the 3 second content (literally a gif) I had in the video too, I thought it was O.K under fair use policies and putting an acknowledgement in the description? Something like that, not just the type of chord, key used and major, minor keys/chord. All that is very interesting, but please keep sharing your expertise.
