New demo here - been experimenting with strings, guitar harmonics and different types of vibes. Lyrics are just blah blah atm but the vibe is there. Also new youtube video almost done! Yahoo

Not so much country, forgive that quick assessment. It is a symphony of breathing, anxiousness, nervousness, and I can almost hear the words you are trying not to say. The more I hear this, the more beautiful it sounds to me. You are so amazing, I've been waiting for this kind of music from you. You are delivering, a meal to the senses. I would love more. 2023-02-24 00:20:02 +0000 UTCI understand the idea, but the beat to me is the main thing at the moment making this sound relatively current and not like something that could have come out in 2005 (ie something like"3x5" by john mayer that has a somewhat similar vibe and a brush beat). Nothing wrong with that but there's so much music already made with that instrumentation, I wanna try and fuse stuff more

Makes me think of the avicii/aloe black country songs in the 2010s a little bit, though I'm not headed into that EDM territory as much

This is actually quite uncommon for me, I usually start with real lyrics but I made a conscious effort with this one to prioritize vibe instead of melody/lyrics initially. That's also why the melody is quite a bit lower in registry than other songs I'm making, since the key was set by what the instruments sounded good in, not my voice. I like how it pulled out a different vibe in the singing too!

I think it needs proper percussion to give it a heart beat, could it be toned down with a drum brush style beat? Why do I always have to go against the grain?? π Sorry x

2023-02-23 11:05:19 +0000 UTCMaaan, your vocals are beautiful in this π Honestly though...I'm not mad keen on the lyrics so far...not trying to be negative or rude, and it sounds a bit like a contradiction but it's just not my kind of vibe...That said I would be really interested to see where you take it lyrically, I think there's a couple of directions it could go in like maybe make it a more upbeat song with 'never going home/seeing you again' being a positive thing like moving on/being better, that sort of thing rather than it being about loss or heartbreak? Just a thought...I'm off to work now myself, feel free to come at me and tell me how to do my job better ππ xx

You have such different vibes across the melodies that I can see you searching through lyric notes to see if you have something that fits. I used to write Christian songs for school/church and I always found it easy to come up with a melody after, but I always figured that was because the lyrics were samey (same lyrical theme).

I do wish the drums didnβt come in as strong at the beginning.. it was kinda jarring from all that buildup and kinda seemed out of place with the entrance of the wordsβ¦ like they were a bit too early maybeβ¦ and it feels like it was about to lead into a prechorus/hook with lots of longer helps words before a faster chorusβ¦ just saying how my brain kinda kept it rollingβ¦ I wanted more
