It makes u wanna dance and it's impossible to not bop the head and tap the foot to it. And that melody is really nice too π I'm not sure about the repetition at the end, if it's too many times or just the right amount to fit the message, if that makes any sense. But I agree with some others, that it's probably perfect when u are done with working on it π I like those MMs, NOs and OHs at the ends a lot and that interesting change in the rhythm on the "Something is wrong with my brain" later in the song π Loving ur vocals, those high notes are π₯ and I like the breathyness of ur voice on some of the parts π₯° That's all I will say now, since it's not finished and I'm sure u will add layers and all kinds of cool embellishments to it, so that it will just keep on getting better and better π Hopefully we'll end up hearing this as finished up song some day π I wonder what all kinds of other gems are hiding rent-free in there π€π Something else that I have been wondering is that which comes first... lyrics or melody or do they come together sometimes..or is it a different process for different songs for u π€?

2023-02-05 11:09:53 +0000 UTCHeyy, this is nice. Although you can tell its incomplete so at this point 'criticism' (constructive or other) is pretty much void. It reminds me a LOT of Darren Hayes- the high notes and the way he manages to combine 80's and disco sounds and make it sound natural. It's different from what I was expecting which is always good. I don't disagree with what others have said about the repetition but as Amberlash said, if it's filled with more instrumental/backing etc it will definitely flow better. Looking forward to hearing more of this. (Also, I can't say I particularly noticed any pronunciation errors, maybe I'm just so used to your voice/accent that it passes me by. Or I'm really bad at my own language π) Anyway, thanks for sharing, keep it up xx

A few have mentioned it being maybe too repetitive which could be the case, but when the song is fully produced musical elements could make that not seem so bad, and sometimes the repetitive chanting vibe works. You mentioned cleaning up your pronunciation and (I'll preface this by saying I love your voice and I mean this in the most "constructive criticism" way possible) I think your pronunciation is your biggest issue in a lot of your songs, but it's actually not too bad in this one. I'm not a vocal coach but I have been singing for all my life and man would I love to try to help you get the most out of your voice, I think you can do so much with it. Anyway I am definitely interested to see where this song goes!

I kind of think if you pulled back on each repetition of "how much of a good thing is too much" and then ended with powerful punch on the last, that would tie in the idea of "feelings fading" but then emphasizing the frustration at the end. At least that's how I interpret it. Keep doing the good work!

I kept hearing βyou feel it tooβ The synth it a bit overpowering your voiceβ¦ but this is a demo sooo π€·πΌββοΈ And the ending seemed to come out of nowhereβ¦ I think it wouldβve felt more cohesive if you either had that line popped in somewhere else in the song OR ended the song after that with just you singing a line something like βWill you feel we're through being overexposed?β In a more quiet fade out to make it seem more part of the song instead of just tacked on But this one is seriously my favorite one shared on here since so selfish
