But how do you know which altered voices went with which row to sing cohesively? Any chance this could be in one of those “lessons” type videos you’ve talked about possibly doing? And is there any good free or cheap programs to try this? Also sorry for all the questions.. this was just.. interesting

Kinda like "life happens, but the only direction is forward".. That combination of sad/strong lyrics and danceable melody and beat were the things that made me love some of the Joel's older songs too.

When you go into production will there be the opportunity to hide parts of the swear words with well placed musical elements?, Can you dampen down or mask them so the listener knows it's a swear but it's still radio acceptable? Sweary words don't bother me but if I was listening to it with my niece and nephew in the car I'd have to close their ears! My brother won't let them listen to songs marked "E" lyrics! I was listening to Eminem on the radio without swear words in the car and it was basically a backing track! Since I was singing along I inserted the explicit words in for good measure, the kids were stunned, I'm now known as Aunty Sweary Clair!

Cutting out the instruments "f*ck my life" was a wonderful choice. 🥰 Personally, I'm not crazy about the hard kick pretty much all the way through the song. 2023-01-19 22:55:54 +0000 UTCthe vocals sound really nice and i'm glad they're not overly tuned like in previous songs. i also want to add that it is a bit off putting that the lyrics are quite sad/dark and the song is upbeat. it doesn't fit the tone imo. it reminds me of another musician whose label forced him to take a song about his friend dying and make into like a 2010s club/edm/dubstep song. luckily, he eventually released the original/acoustic version of the way it was intended to be.
