Thanks so much for the love on my birthday! I had an excellent time, went down to San Diego with some friends and relaxed for a bit. Back at it now to work on stuff for you guys!
We've got a few projects in the works:
- I'm of course working on "Selfish" (It's been going on for a WHILE now huh, sometimes these things just take time I guess, especially when you're really trying to make something next level good)
- Storytime video with Jonas & August about times in our lives where music played a big role (we're filming that tomorrow, I'm finishing up my cover songs & script today)
- More songwriting videos
- Iconic Pop vs Iconic Rock songs (Old style video, being edited right now).
I would say my focus right now is on figuring out the right way to make a lot of strong music while also making youtube content. I felt for a long time like it was either or - making music, or doing youtube successfully. But I'm confident there's a way to make amazing content out of the stories around music making, that will mean funnier, better content with excellent music that will also be released. Everyone is experimenting at the moment, which is why the releases aren't as frequent. The editors are trying new, exciting things. We're trying different types of concepts and approaches. But we're looking to start ramping things up a little bit more in the coming weeks, because I believe in iterating (learning while doing) more than trying to make something amazing off the bat/perfectionism. I'll keep you guys updated.

It's always been about making each other laugh, for them, comedy. You've always been about music. It's great watching you create the content you have recently and expand on your knowledge. Commentary is great, but give me something to learn from and you've won my heart. You're doing wonderful and I have no doubt you can succeed with what you are creating. It's super exciting and I think we are all proud of you. Words cannot express how amazing it is to watch you grow. Keep it up. We all love you.

I don't know if I'm an unusual example of the average Roomie viewer, but I enjoy everything from the silly (life's rough, laughs are important) to the commentary (interesting to hear your takes) to the more involved music creation/theory kind of stuff (background in music) to the personal stories (you're our online friend we never met before, lol). So for me, anything is a delight, whenever it goes up. I know a lot of folks, particularly the patrons, enjoy whatever too, so hopefully that's a comfort! Can't wait for rock vs. pop - rock was my one and only love for a lot of years. :)
