But, after reading your comment here, I went back and listened to Joel’s song. I totally agree with you about Joel’s lyrics. Whether he’s using his own experience and heartbreak, or not, when I hear Joel singing (or saying) things like that…it just breaks my heart for him. 😔😔

Unsurprisingly, I loved Joel’s song and the buildup was beautiful, and I liked his lyrics the best. August’s was very smooth and if we’re going purely on ‘satisfying’ (which I think Alex kind of thought was ‘smooth and relaxing) he rightfully won. Every one of these songs could be produced into a hit, 100%. I was certain that I would love only Joel’s, so it was really delightful to love them all!

I love how different Jonas's voice is and one thing you all forgot when looking for satisfying songs is the actual artists vocal! I love Joel's belting vocals and his uplifting notes and I like August's soft rhythmic tone as much as I like the lyrics and the melodies. Really enjoyed this video and extra for us guys 😘 chefs kiss 💋 all round!

Living in the US, all the loud, self-congratulatory voices can seem deafening. I feel like I could fit in beautifully in Sweden given how I am incapable of taking a compliment without cringing and deflecting. 😋

Especially when he mentioned the chords you used. I remember hearing it and really vibing with that! 2022-04-01 16:13:30 +0000 UTCWho wrote the best song kinda depends on the situation I guess. As a song that I would listen to in the background: absolutely August, no doubt. But when it comes to a full on pop song that I would want to listen to on repeat: Joel. What I like most is that the melodies and not super stagnant but varied and the ad libs which makes it sound more like a finished song even if the production isn’t perfect.
