Sound Doodle: "Photograph"
Added 2022-02-28 02:17:25 +0000 UTCMessed around with an 80s sounding waltz with loads of guitars today, in my quest for finding new sounds and improving my production workflow. Again, thought I'd post it here! Hope you like.
For the nerds: Been trying out using delays to widen things like hihats (with a spread of like 5-6 milliseconds). Working with more gated 80s reverbs, and parallell-saturating drums to make them sound more broken and alive. The bass is from a Juno 60 emulation, really love the sound of the Juno synths, so many modern synths do too much and end up too complicated to put in songs, the Juno stuff is so clean it's easy to fit into the context of a song.

I think Iโd have a greater appreciation for music production and composition if I could hear (for example) what the hihats sound like with vs without delay. I donโt know the language hardly at all, but I always felt like I had โsmartโ ears. Thanks for sharing all these previews with us!
