Which of these 3 songs is the MOST overlayed??

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER PATREON EXCLUSIVE VIDEO, MY NAME IS JOEL AND IN TODAY'S VIDEO WE ARE RANKING THE MOST OVERPLAYED SONGS OUT OF "SINGLE LADIES", "SWEET HOME ALABAMA" AND "UMBRELLA"...

Too energetic? Sorry, I'm just cool like that.

Do you agree with my ranking or would you put them in another order?
Let me know!!

Which of these 3 songs is the MOST overlayed??

Comments

I agree with all 3. The only thing saving umbrella from being too much is I now get the mental image of Tom (Holland? Whichever Tom was Spider-Man) dancing on lip sync battle 😜

Krystal Jade

Hands down, completely agree with you! Also... I'm a new Patreon so YAY ME lol

Teagan

This is really bothering me haha

Gee Gee

I hear Sweet Home Alabama the most but I primarily listen to a music station that plays 70's, 80's and 90's.

Charlie Badger

I skip all three

Trisa

Agree with your list 😊

Elke

Agree Single Ladies 100% most overplayed but I think I’d swap Umbrella and Sweet Home Alabama.

Suzanne Collins

As always I took notes on today’s video Check it out on my Instagram if you want Joel

Stephanie Bruso

I would probably say Umbrella, Single Ladies then SHA. I could see your POV also. I’ve definitely heard those 2 songs way more than the other. So either works 👍🏽👍🏽

Chauchie Cortez

None of these came out during my peak radio listening years. The only one that makes me cringe is Single Ladies, but Beyonce has always been hit or miss for me, so that song probably had a lower threshold to hit in order to become annoying. If you really want to trigger me, play 3am by Matchbox Twenty. It was so overplayed when it came out that there is no conceivable way I could ever enjoy it.

Lynne Walkling

I flinch when Single Ladies comes on. I agree with the ranking of the next two but it's close.

Sara Sternberg

Same conclusion here. I will skip Single Ladies and Umbrella, but Sweet Home Alabama never gets old for me - sounds like my childhood! My parents only listened to this era of music so it's all sentimental to me.

Sugary Magnolia

Overlayed 🤭

Kelly Thompson

I ranked the same; I think it’s interesting that they all have some level of repetitiveness, and a quality that makes you want to sing along, but Sweet Home Alabama is so anthemic - I think that’s what saves it for me more than the other two. (Not that anthems can’t be woefully overplayed - though I absolutely adore Queen, “We Are The Champions” fits this bill for me.)

Shannon Kraushaar

Everytime I hear Single Ladies now, I hear the flute- ever since you pointed it out, lol. I ranked them the same as you. Sweet Home Alabama is still a banger! Love that one.

Courtney Walker

I'd rank the same as you. While Umbrella is overplayed, I don't think I'd skip it if it came up in a playlist. Probably a bit biased on my end because I adore Rihanna lol

Becky Lorion

I'd put Umbrella first, than Single Ladies

Veronika Troll

@Wicked Wendy420 glad I could be of service :)

Dannielle O'Neill

Despite the lack of furniture manuals, I still enjoyed this clip. 👍🏼

loonylovesgood

I just went to check out the Tom Holland video and it is Sooo good. Thank you for leading me to such a smile enducing video.

Wicked Wendy420

I’d rank the songs the same as you. I feel like Sweet Home Alabama is a classic, and I don’t think I could ever get tired of Umbrella, especially after Tom Holland’s Lip Sync Battle performance. Single Ladies just got a tad grating over time due to overplaying.

Sarah

Most to least overplayed: Single ladies Umbrella Sweet Home Alabama REALLY!?!? You must be getting OLD!! Because it's exactly the same order I put those songs in...

Sigga

I'd say single ladies, then umbrella , the SHA too!

Juniper loo

None are overplayed for me because I was away from pop music for a long time. Plus, Sweet Home Alabama is so old it is new again.

Cas

Umbrella 100%. That summer it came out it was on the radio CONSTANTLY. I had just graduated high school was part of a summer music theater camp, and it played EVERY morning as I drove there. I appreciate the song a little bit more now though haha.

Alle Engdahl

Most of Beyonce's solo stuff is just an instant skip for me, it's all so bad. Destiny's Child Beyonce on the other hand? *Chef Kiss*

Mari

Me, who saw Tom Holland's "Umbrella" 🌂☔️☂️ performance again last night : That song will NEVER get old for me now! Also, thought about how impressed Joel would be with his water "effects" 🤣💦🌧

Dannielle O'Neill

Single ladies, Sweet home Alabama then Umbrella for me. c:

Holly Baker

Overlayed? 👀😂
