Can you collab with David Bennett on a compilation of songs with that progression sometime, please?

Krystal Jade

I did like this! I really love how you branched out for this video compilation. I really enjoyed watching you go more in depth with the music and teach us about the chords and structures, etc. It was really cool

Andreas Johnson’s voice sounds like Brian Molko (Placebo) to me Brett from Suede is great and unique singer too 💙

Franceska

Ahhh, this was so fantastic. I totally agree, that particular chord progression just makes me smile (especially with all the adaptations you can add to it). I can't identify chords by ear, but is "Fuck You" by CeeLo similarly structured? I feel like I can hear it when you played the chord progression in C. Also, as a child of the 90s, I'm guessing you like the second one better not only because it IS better, but because that's a very nostalgic sound for those of us who remember life before cell phones. XD

Shannon Kraushaar

I could watch that for hours too. Especially if it were live-streamed ;)

SUEDE! My friend just showed me this band last November and I really like 'em. This is one of my favorite songs!!! I instantly knew that was the song being compared to the "copy", but I definitely see they are different. Great video :D

Jessistache_73

Glad to be a Patreon for this video in particular because that bonus clip was so on point

I was just thinking yesterday how I wished Joel would listen to/talk about The Phantom of the Opera. Did I manifest it?

I saw Suede live in 2019 - I cried all the way through the set!

Frankie Jay

I missed this video series so much 🤩

Suede are such an iconic 90s indie bands, I've seen Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler live as their group The Tears, they are so good! Your love of Robbie Williams is showing through, Robbie worked with Guy Chambers (G.O.A.T in the music industry) he's mentioned been influenced by the Beatles so those chords you are playing are within tons of Guy's work. Guy's an absolute legend, he came and sang with Robbie at the 02 on the day I went to see him in Nov 2012!

Clair (Teampanda)

Never in my life have I screamed so hard - Joel reacting to my favourite Indie band! Brett Anderson the leader of Suede is a god!

Frankie Jay

The best part of this extra clip is Joel playing the synth and talking about chords. I can watch that for hours :) So more synth playing for us, please.

Your face when your talking the music language is EVERYTHING. LOVE seeing you enjoy making and talking about music this way. 🥰 The feels, man...the feels.

Speaking of Beatles chords, don’t quote me exactly on this but it reminded me a bit of 8 days a week 🤔

Merissa5150

The second guy gave a whole different vibe somehow wth lol. Btw this is one of the series that got me into watching the channel. Glad you found more songs to be able to bring it back! 👏

“Now we’re cooking with Beatles chords” ☺️

The smile when playing the piano! Yes!!! I need to step up the game and start to paint again… to make myself this happy! Thanks for kicking my butt 👏👏👏

You gotta love those Eurovision songs! ESC is such a wonderful cringe festival - I love it, especially when you make the scoring into a drinking game. 😂
