Gear update: camera angles
Added 2022-02-02 22:47:06 +0000 UTCYou may have noticed I use a few more cameras recently. This is how the file looks that I send to my editors (top right is screen recording). They all run via hdmi to the computer. Before, I had to choose angle myself live (which often led to messups and me talking to the wrong camera for 10 minutes) but now I’m sending all 3 angles to the editors to choose as they please.
Idk if this is interesting to yall, but ye. I’m gonna get a cinematographer i. Here to light it professionally and set up better lighting/camera angles/coloring one of these days. You’ll probably notice that, should look a lot better!

Thanks for sharing and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. Lighting does look pretty good already by the way, wonder what changes will be implemented :)

And got surprised by the right profile camera thinking "here we go again, will he talk to the wrong one?" I guess your editors can still make it happen xD (maybe April 1st video, where every angle is the wrong one 🤔) Ok, now could someone tell me what's the text on the back edge of the keyboard saying? My stupid brain decided to think it's "Poland" even tho I know it's not 😅

Being able to have the overview of composing the shot based on the lighting and coloring you're planning seems to be quite beneficial in indie scenarios

2022-02-03 00:49:28 +0000 UTCInteresting! Most desk youtubers have nothing close to this type of setup, usually it's just one camera. We do save a lot of time recording like this though, with multiple angles in one file. Before we just used two though (screen rec and one camera)
