It's definitely leaning towards cheesy but sometimes you just gotta lean in for that stuff, because that's how you feel if you're really in love right? Haha.

However, I would like to hear the depth of it expanded a bit with 1) some lower bass - not a ton, obv, it'd totally k*ll the vibe...more like a "heartbeat", if that makes sense, and 2), maybe some higher pitched reverb/echo-y "everywhere" or "with you" softly in the background. This sounds SO good though, and I can't wait to see where you go with it 😊

Some people might need to be in a certain mood to listen to it.. but that can go for any type of song really. It definitely has wedding songs vibes 😊

Lyrics are maybe a bit too simple for my personal taste, but still good and on point, they deliver the message perfectly :) like it a lot, might become my fav one so far, well done!

I haven't heard it in forever but the goosebumps struck and I stopped what I was doing to listen to it. Lyrically you were sending up boy band inspired songs but actually they worked so well because the cheese level wasn't at "I want to crawl inside your body and hug you from the inside" level!! I could listen to you sing it for hours without actually taking in the lyrics because it all marries together so well I just enjoy the listening experience (does that make sense?) Vocally this song is similar, the lower almost whisper vocal give me the feels but somehow it doesn't grab me the same as DADB. Do you ever go back to your older songs for inspiration or do you prefer to start a fresh?

If you still experimenting with it, then maybe try another backing music track. As I am not a native English speaker I primarily listen to the music, then to the combination between the music and voice and then to the text. If the text is garbage, then even the best music won't help the song to be better, but it is not the case here. My opinion on this song is, that the singing track isn't coexistant with the music track and the drums. The singing track seems to be in 4/4 and the music track in 8/8 with two intonations/stresses in it. It is actually a 4/8-loop, but you put two of them in one singing bar. I might be wrong, but this is the feeling, which I got from listening to this episode. It leeds me to the sense, that the music hurries up in front of your actual feelings and tries to accelerate your singing. It might fit to some other song, but in my "ears" not to a romantical one. It is for me personally not smooth enough, although your voice and other atmospheric sounds are great. And now some thoughts about the text - do you really want to put "yeah"s in a romantical song? I didn't expect it here :) And last but not least is the text itself, especially the line "cause I love you and maybe you love me". After all your videos where you talk about the depth of the text/words and the primitive lines in many pop songs I haven't expected to hear such lines from you. I expected a little more depth :) Just a little bit. But even these lines are great and are better than no lines and no songs from you. So at last - it would be great if you could try to put another music/beat-loop or maybe to do the song more rocky. Romantic songs are great, when they are rocky and you have a fantastic voice for this genre. But I understand you, if you don't want to try it, because you're aming for another sound.

I'm a cheesy person for sure (some of my poetry wasn't bad writing, but...oy), sometimes you just need that. That said, I feel like going straight "there" (the "I love you and you love me") at the jump is a little too abrupt for me. I actually like it and it fits the mood, just wasn't "primed" for that yet. Love the deeper tone and softness in your voice, definitely fits the mood. That said, I do love where it's at and I'll be excited to see where it goes. Sure hope some of that made sense. 😬

On my second listen my only input is in the beginning so “oohs” and runs didn’t seem to fit the tone of the rest of the song. But that’s just me, a dum dum head, and it all sounded awesome anyway! ❤️

Since you asked for thoughts… The repeated guitar melody hits my ears kinda funny right from the beginning. Even once it backs off in the verse, for me it fights with the pretty, pretty singing. When you say ‘let me know your thoughts,’ is this the kind of stuff you have in mind? Would never want you to stop posting your works in progress, because they’re amazing to hear.

There are certain phrases in a few songs that have stuck with me more so because of the way they’re sung, especially when they’re sung differently in different parts of the song. The I can’t look away part does it for me. Leave this one in for sure. 😉

There are usually two types of love song: one that makes you feel like you could be/are in love, and other that frustrates you and just screams at you "yeah, we're in love and you don't/won't feel anything like that". And that's the problem I have with that song. It just wakes the grumpy old person in me that hates when ppl throw the "love" in their face. 😑 But maybe I just need some more Lactase enzyme 😅 Still looking forward to the final version of the song. 😉

Since the video (songs that make you feel like a Boss!) this is kinda ironic, in my best Chandler Bing voice "Could it be any more on the nose?" 😂🤣 Seriously though, I like the low almost whisper vocal, that's the kinda stuff that gets you on the "special" playlist. The production is sweet, it's such a nice melody, definitely reminds me of those first love moments you get in a relationship. Lyrics I just can't.. Do I believe they are written from a genuine love of something? Yes I believe this is what you whisper to Synthia the Synthesizer in the mornings 😋 but boy they are cheesier than a block of Cheddar! I totally get this is a love song, it's completely what I would of kissed all my posters to when I was 10 but I'm a cynical old cat lady now and can only reminisce about being this much in love 💕. The cheese was there, but it felt sincere. Definitely a song you can feel when you have those feelings for someone, and feel it entirely differently when you don't.

I like it.. there's a good bit of reverb/echoiness with it... with this small bit of a snippet, I can't tell if that helps or hurts the song's overall emotion though.. but so far it's really good and catchy. it plays out radio/movie ready
