Doesn’t look like I can just plug it into my computer. I think I need to buy more stuff to use the 3DIO?.. I’m so confused…;;

Apparently I need to buy an audio interface or something

Look into which one looks right and easy enough for you to use and let us know!

There seems to be decent ones you can get on Amazon without breaking the bank. From what I can see there's an elgato wave XLR on sale at bestbuy's website for 130

Seems that way. A mixing console might be the cheapest? This is what I could gather from the 3dio manual page online. How to Use All 3Dio FS microphones, like most microphones, are designed to be used with a digital recorder, camera, audio interface, or plugged into a mixing console. The microphone cannot be plugged directly into a computer or smart phone without first being connected to preamplifier of some sort. A preamplifier is an electronic device (often integrated into a camera, digital recorder, or audio interface) that boosts a weak signal coming from a microphone. A preamplifier can also be purchased as a separate stand-alone unit. In order to capture the audio signal coming from the 3Dio microphone, you will need a device to record with. Many digital recorders include a preamplifier built in. If you are plugging any 3Dio FS model directly into an audio interface or mixing console, you will also need a device to record the audio to. This can be achieved with a computer, analog tape machine or digital studio workstation (many workstations feature built-in preamplifiers).

Do you have a 3.5mm audio jack on your laptop? The 3DIO cable is a 3.5mm to 1/4 splitter cable, so if your laptop has a 3.5mm jack all you need is a robust 3.5mm cable.

Can't help you there, never had a 3DIO ;-; maybe a specific adapter is needed ?
