This was an incredibly insightful conversation. Thank you for sharing your experiences! I grew up in Atlanta, GA, so it was interesting to hear some of the differences you've experienced and seen between Britain and US black culture. I've had multiple conversations over the past couple of years about how modern US slang (specifically Gen Z culture) has appropriated AAVE with my best friend and my partner. It's a very.. interesting phenomenon.
