Hello everyone, this is Villainchin.

I know I asked you to wait and then went quiet for quite a while.

I really wanted to finish Myrtle first and write this post, but since the year is about to end, I felt I should at least leave an update — so I’m writing this on a tablet from the hospital.

The post might be a bit short, and the translation may not be perfect, but I hope you can understand.

There were many things to draw, but on top of that, my timing was really unlucky — I caught a severe case of the flu, which delayed everything a lot.

The flu itself was bad, but my coughing became so intense that it actually affected my ribs.

I never thought coughing alone could cause bone issues, but apparently it happens more often than you’d expect.

Because of that, I spent Christmas lying down while wearing a support brace…

I’m really sorry for not being able to post an update and for making you worry.

Right now, the coughing has eased a lot, and aside from having to lie down a bit uncomfortably, I’m doing fairly okay!

The bed is tilted at about a 30-degree angle — that’s the best way I can describe it.

It's subtly uncomfortable!!

Most importantly, this time I had a portable drawing tablet with me, so I was able to continue working on Myrtle here in the hospital.

I’m really relieved that I can at least show one set this month.

Even though December has already passed, in two days I’ll be able to receive my laptop from home.

Once I do, I’ll load the files I’ve been working on and show you Myrtle as soon as possible. I worked really hard on her, so please look forward to it — thank you so much for waiting.

Next week will be my final check-up and discharge day.

Once I’m out, I’ll immediately start working on the next piece, NiyaNiya, and do my best to show it to you soon.

And… even though I promised, I couldn’t hold a character vote event this month…

Because you’re always here, I feel like drawing has meaning.

And the comments too — they always make me happy.

Even though I can’t always reply properly because I don’t have time to use a translator, I read every single one.

There are also people who continue to support me despite my unstable upload schedule.

I may not say it enough, but your support helps me more than you know.

Thank you for holding me up even when I’m clumsy and unreliable — I’ll do my best to return that support.

I hope that in 2026, all of you stay healthy and are able to achieve many things.

(Spending the New Year in the hospital is honestly pretty depressing…
