Premiere Tomorrow (4/28) and Patreon Tier Refresh

Spring has sprung here in New Hampshire! It’s nice not to have to battle the snow piles before setting up my gear. 🙂 I have another BIG review video premiering tomorrow at 12pm ET (9am PT / 5pm UK time). This one compares the ZWO ASIAir Plus to the PrimaLuceLab EAGLE and a Lenovo Laptop - all computers capable of controlling an astrophotography rig. I enjoyed testing all the devices, but the video was a lot of work so I hope it performs well. And if you are thinking of buying one of these, I'd appreciate it if you use this link: https://bit.ly/Eagle-asiair Woodland Hills was nice enough to loan me an Eagle and all the cables for 2 months and all they asked was I direct people to that link if they were thinking of buying an ASIAir or Eagle.

I have also been working on refreshing the tiers here on Patreon. I have added new rewards to some current tiers and I’ve added some high-end tiers to help fund big projects I want to work on with the channel and business. You can check out all the refreshed tiers and change your current tier here: https://www.patreon.com/nebulaphotos/membership

Please don’t feel any pressure to change tiers, I truly appreciate ALL the support and this refresh does not impact your current patreon benefits. I’ll be sending out these new rewards to existing tiers tomorrow:
-Digital Wallpaper pack for Horshead Tier and higher
-First Ad-free video (ASIAir vs. Eagle review) for Seagull Tier and higher

As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions. I’d love to hear them!

Clear skies, Nico

Also works with 5volt power from powerbanks. I have done some lunar imaging with it and the lack of usb3 is not a problem if the higher resolution videos are around 30seconds for safety. In Finland the Asiair mini costs 279€ and the 256Gb Plus model is 499€ including VAT. I had some tilt problems with one of my setups and having a Asiair didnt help at all to go solve it under the stars.

Yeah, I've heard the mini is just as snappy as the Plus only missing USB3 which for deep sky isn't a big deal. I should test one at some point. I agree $200 is an amazing value.

I feel like the Asiair mini is the real gem in the bunch when considering EU pricing. For the Plus models price in big storage format + ipad etc. Better to get a used lenovo thinkpad or something.. oh yeah i should maybe watch the video 1st :D
