Sunday Chat #23, Themed Chat #1, NEAIC, Events Calendar
Added 2023-03-03 22:30:49 +0000 UTCWow, February flew by! I hope to get some time with the winter nebulae this month before they are gone.
I have a number of announcements to share about upcoming events both virtual and in-person:
Sunday Chat #23
Nebula Photos Sunday Chat #23 will take place at the normal time this Sunday, March 5th at 2pm ET. Here is the Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86791438273?pwd=aEpVaEZCVzVWVFJwaEE0L1BvOG9lUT09
Themed Chat #1
One week from today, Friday, March 10th at 7pm ET will be the first 'Themed Chat' for Patreon members where I will give a short presentation, and the entire Q&A will be around a theme. This time, the theme will be "untracked astrophotography" and my presentation will be about "best targets for untracked astrophotography." I will be mixing up the day/time for these themed chats so keep an eye out for them. I will send a reminder, but here is the Zoom link for that event: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83789474797?pwd=eHJOWmNwdXNnSnNsT0pLZXdGaEJsUT09
NEAIC and NEAF
On Thursday, April 13th at 4pm ET, I will be delivering a presentation about Siril (free astro processing software) at NEAIC (North-East Astro Imaging Conference) in Suffern, NY. This is one of the two big astrophotography conferences in the USA - the other being AIC in San Jose, CA. NEAIC leads into NEAF (North-East Astronomy Forum) which is one of the biggest annual astronomy shows in the world. I will be around for that too (at least on Saturday, April 15th) and will try to organize a Nebula Photos Meet-up! More on that soon...

Events Calendar
Lastly, with all this and more going on, I wanted to create one place where Patreon members can go to see all Nebula Photos-related events. So I've created this Calendar:
https://nebulaphotos.com/patreon-calendar
and you can add it to your own Google Calendar if you use it:
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0?cid=Y2Q0ODI0YjU0ZmZmYjY1Y2FjYjAxODBhYTIzYzJkNWRmZDAyNjkxZWJkY2IwMmY3YjU4NzU2MTdkMDQ5OWY2MUBncm91cC5jYWxlbmRhci5nb29nbGUuY29t
The nice thing about this is that it should convert time-zones easily to your local time-zone, and it will be one place to see everything. I plan to also put video premieres on here. Since many event will be for Patreon members only, please do not share these links outside of the Nebula Photos Patreon community.

Next Video
I'm putting the finishing touches on a video that has been in the works for a few months where I compare four refractors in a big review that will cover both OSC and Mono. I think it's my most ambitious review video yet- at least the one I've spent the most nights gathering data for. Aiming for a premiere on Thursday or Friday next week.
Clear skies,
Nico
