Love this! On the zoom part: I’ve only ever played a one shot IRL and the rest online due to the group being spread out over the country. We play on roll20 (which works well for us) one thing we did was a session tech zero on whatever platform we’ve used. That way everyone knew where to find everything or had seen it at least. one thing I’m taking with me: background sounds!! We were on a ship, and the sound of wind and creaking made it so immersive, since due to music issues my DM used sounds/noise instead to set tone but personally I like it A LOT.

Everyone was on Zoom through their laptops and had Spotify going on their phones so when I changed the music up, it would switch for everyone at once. Plus it's quiet enough that you only hear your own device's music and doesn't really get picked up by the laptop mics
