I will be premiering my newest video tomorrow, Friday, August 26th at 12 noon ET (16:00 UTC, 5pm UK time, 9am PT). This one is my newest 'start to finish' video without the use of a star tracker. I'm going after my most challenging object untracked yet: the Dumbbell Nebula. Hope to see some of you there! If you can't make it, the link will convert to a normal video at the conclusion of the premiere at 1pm: https://youtu.be/iQLa6XdAF6s
The video is one hour long and covers DSS and Photoshop in the processing part. I do show some new techniques like masked high pass filtering for bringing out small detail, and emphasizing red emission with a stock camera. I hope to have a part 2 (alternate ending) finished by tomorrow to go with it that will cover Siril + GIMP.
Another heads-up: I will be premiering another video next week, hopefully on Wednesday, August 31st. This video will be my first on printing, showing off my favorite method for printing photos of nebulae. Probably 12 noon ET again. I will make a new post when the link is ready.
Clear skies, Nico
