World Map + Minimap update
Added 2017-01-27 11:08:15 +0000 UTCXaero's World Map b1.8 and Xaero's Minimap 1.12.1 are now available in the first Dropbox folder!
The world map update is one of the biggest ones I've done so far, if we don't count the initial release. It took me almost a week only to port everything from 1.11 to other Minecraft versions! I have carefully gone through the whole code and fixed a lot of real and even potential bugs/stability issues. The same was done for the minimap but the changes are not as major.
The world map beta is coming to an end in 2 updates :)
I have also collaborated with Liec0dez (big thanks!) to create a Spigot plugin API for creating and distributing server-side waypoints for players using Xaero's Minimap and/or Better PVP. The API also gives the minimap perfect multi-world support. I will be talking more about it on the mod pages soon but you can already start using/developing with it. It was tested in 1.11 with no issues found:

I can add the beacons very easily, as I have already coded them for the Craftable Waypoints mod, but I think they're totally unnecessary. And I don't think that differentiating different mobs is something the mod is going to do, at least in the near future. I can't name an actual game that does it, only modded Minecraft. It ruins the point of walking around, in my opinion. But thank you for the suggestions :)

2017-05-28 09:56:14 +0000 UTCHey Xaero, just wanted to suggest a couple things: Becon along with the waypoints, and som e way to differentiate different mobs on the map. Otherwise, your mods have been a lifesaver, keep up the great work!

2017-05-12 07:29:43 +0000 UTChey Xaero i found a bug in your mod Xaeros minimap and it has to do with the waypoints and the nether: whenever you create/delete/teleport to/a waypoint it starts dropping your fps to 0 the 14 the 15 then 0 and its really annoying

Not gonna lie, I've spent probably a couple hours altogether just looking at WorldMaps of the Nether in my different worlds. Thanks so much for the time and effort that you've put into these mods so far. It's incredibly exciting to see that you have little interest in slowing down and plans for more of the Awesome. :)
