Introducing my new Rhinoceros design!! Designing a Rhino has been another one that I've been wanting to do for a loooong time, so it was a lot of fun to finally dive-in and explore these really unique animals.
I'm using the same head connector joint system that I came up with for the Snail and it's been working really well. It's mostly print-in-place, but a couple of snap-fits for the head and tail and you're ready to go! Here's a Demo Video that shows the assembly!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:
Body: Print-in-place
Head: Snap-fit to Body using Connector.
Tail: Snap-fit to body
Connector: Use to connect the head to the body.
Multicolor 3MFs: (Compatible with PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Orca based slicers) If you have a 5 color printer, my suggestion would be to add a brown to swap in for the tail hair and the irises.
No supports
10%-15% Infill (I recommend Gyroid, Crosshatch or 3D Honeycomb)
3 Walls. (Assuming 0.4mm nozzle. Adjust wall count to account for alternate nozzle sizes)
This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

Every new release is included and downloadable on Patreon in the month it was released and the one month after that (except bonus models, which stay free). 2025-11-08 21:39:53 +0000 UTClove this print but the rhinoceros horn on his head failed on our first time trying, we are using basic PLA but it is silver and bronze bambu lab, so i guess we are printing the heads again, we scaled down to 80% to fit two on a plate, and i slowed down the outer wall speed to 50... hoping this fixes the problem, as it had one minute left (on a 15 hour print) and was curling on the very last part of the horn. a bit bummed.

2025-09-27 13:53:37 +0000 UTCAbout half the colour swaps are from the two big horns, it would be ideal if they could optionally be printed separately and attached with glue. Would save a lot of waste and time. If the head could be split into parts in the slicer, this could probably be done by the user, but unfortunately in this case the head is all merged into one object that can't be separated.

2025-09-27 10:08:49 +0000 UTCI like the way you have used the head connector, that is a better idea. I just wish that the legs could printed separate, that way someone could print more of them in a batch saving on filament waste, especially people with smaller muti color printers
