Hi All!
Introducing my new Skunk design! I've had quite a few requests for this one lately, and it sounded like a fun idea! The Head and Tail snap fit to the body, and there small bumps on the base of the tail that allow you to prop the tail up in that classic skunky position. I hope you like it!

Head: Snap-Fit to Body. No supports needed.
Body: Print-In-Place. No support needed.
Tail: Snap-Fit to Body. No supports needed.
Multicolor 3MF: (Compatible with PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)
10%-15% Infill.
3 Walls
This should generally scale down to about 60%-65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

Has anyone experienced a loose snap fitting with the tail? I printed the multicolor 3mf with 3 walls + 15% gyroid infill on a Prusa XL. Actually printed a second tail to rule things out. May try another one on my Bambu. Considering adding a drop of CA glue.

Several of the parts are not flush against the plate so you need supports for the tail or to figure a way to get all the parts flat on the bed. Only half are flat. The rest of the skunk works well. **looks like v3 fixed this issue.

Unless somebody can point me in the right direction for doing the multicolour prints on this printer. Your three MF STL’s are the reason why I bought this as I think they’re just amazing.

I think he was referring to your artistic style after looking the creature up. It's cute! Another idea for your pile (I'm sure you have a stack of ideas and requests) of future possibilities. It must be related to an armadillo, only from Africa and Asia. The African one is cuter I think.

2025-01-28 19:47:27 +0000 UTCIt’s sort of a limitation of the way the slicers create the layers. I can adjust the thickness a bit more, but it may not get rid of it completely. The translucency/transmission distance of the white filament plays a roll as well. A more opaque white will show less of the underlying color.

Right across the bridge of the nose, it's almost as if there's not enough thickness to hide the under color. For example the black from next to the eyes bleeds under the white across the bridge of the nose. 2/2 printed show this defect.

2025-01-25 19:13:12 +0000 UTCHi! Most often prints fail due to bad bed adhesion. Make sure the bed is clean and leveled properly. Aside from that, there are so many variables it can be hard to troubleshoot in the comments. Send me an email with as many details about your printer, slicer and settings as you can.
