Hey All!
This new exclusive is a bit of an experiment. I had been kicking around the idea of creating a secondary line of cute, small, and easy print-in-place models to complement my bigger regular releases... so, I decided to give it a shot! The first of these mini models is this MMMini Bearded Dragon (with keychain version)!!
I’ve seen a lot of feedback from merchants that loved the baby snake variants, and find that smaller “pocket” sized prints are very popular with their customers. Creating some more options to fit that niche seemed like a good thing to explore. If they are well received, my thought is that I will periodically release these MMMini exclusives in place of the more typical variants that you’re used to. So, let me know what you think!

This cute little fella is 100mm long at 100%, and scales down really well (the little blue one in the group photo is 40%!). YMMV

Since these out-of-vault past exclusive files are only purchasable by subscribers, using Cults3D’s secret listings is the best way to do that. The cults link for this file is in the Vault section of the pinned “hub” information post.

I'm making a basketful(s) to donate to our local cancer treatment center to give to patients when they come in for radiation or chemo treatments. Something they can fidget with while they sit. And, hopefully give them a smile while they're there.

There are several "tiny" file creators out there, and their designs are cute, sure- but i can't wait to get additional examples of MMM brand tiny with all the personality and detail we are used to. SO excited for this series!

2024-01-15 00:28:56 +0000 UTCFor people that want these to be more "substantial" in terms of looking for something that is worth between 5-10 at a fair or market. 130% is the perfect size for this. It works well with other peoples' work. Honestly, we haven't been to a fayre in Jan yet due to having a break, and we've already pre-sold them. Matt, this is a fantastic idea for us (me), I really hope we can have 1 of these and 1 specialised creature a month as our subscription. We really struggle at fayres due to them not wanting to spend the "value" in person. These smaller options are perfect for the resolve of this. I look forward to our Feb fayre because I know for a fact that the feedback will be great from them so I will be every so grateful if this continues with the other creatures. anything with big eyes and face that screams "i'm adorable" will be perfect. On another note, the special needs customers that we have will love these due to their texture. If it was ever possible for you to create a specialised creature for this every few months, that would be ever so beneficial for my customers, even if it became an add-on cost. We would not mind paying as an extra purchase to have this. If it was something that had a sensory effect, it would be very much worth it.

These shiny black half-round beads could be easily glued in (much faster than painting for me). Smaller prints are an easy sell for me and they really add up. I will take as many mini's as you can make! Hoping for Gila monster and other southwest critters in the mini sizes.

They came out great. The last joint of the tail was frozen on the 40% and I didn't want to snap it off but, the rest of it articulates perfectly.

However, I hope your other models are still the star of the show as not everyone can do what you do in that area. While minis could potentially have a higher profit margin when you consider time and that you can list them at affordable prices for everyone, there’s so many other minis in the market. Your designs stand out from the rest even if they take more time and cost more. They definitely set you apart and it’s the reason why this is the first patreon I joined.

We were actually going to scale down the other cutesie animals and give them a cheaper multi material to cater for the "budget buyers" that we get at our fayres. They really don't want to be spending more than around £7 on an item, ideally no more than £4. This is perfect as I believe we can get this within that range easily. I very much think it's a great thing for us and I sincerely appreciate it. Also, happy new year, Matt, hope you had some sort of nice break.
