Hey Everyone!

It's ready!  The Early Release of the Hammerhead Shark is upon us!

The head model comes with a fully pre-supported, but don't just toss away the side supports when you remove them.  With some careful balancing, they become nice little custom wedges to help stand the shark up for taking photos.

I'm planning to release this model to Cults3D next week.  In the meantime, I would love to hear any feedback so that I can address any issues before I release it there.

Happy Printing!

Matt

I printed a 70% one which turned out great and fully articulated. I imagine it could go a little bit smaller even. Maybe 60-65%

MatMire_Makes

What is the smallest safe printing size on this one? Thanks!

Jocelyn Kessinger

with a steady hand you get it to stand without the supports too, I really like this feature. What would make it even better for me is to add locking points for the front fins similar to the leopard gecko, he could then be posed for display a bit more upright otherwise he is a bit flat as a display piece. You can see a pic of mine displayed on his tail with no supports here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tvdL7hboJCpiM4UL7 and https://photos.app.goo.gl/gDJnpRbTe2M6Qkhy9 google photos share

Hi! You can see it in the second picture. I basically lay the wedge flat on the table and rest the last tail joint in the U shaped part of the support. Then it’s all about trying to balance the body on that. It’s not the easiest, but with a little trial and error it should work. Haha. The filament is Cookiecad Blue Ombré

Got done printing turned out great on my ender 3 s-1 pro at %100. The neck joint was really hard to put on was afraid I was gonna break it. But it worked just fine. How do you get it to stand on the extra supports by the way? Could you post a pic of it? Also what filament did you use? love the color of yours

That always sucks. Hope you get them back up and running!

This is awesome I can’t wait to print some but both my printers are out of action they are annoying me

Hmm, can you email me a picture so I can see more clearly what you mean? matmire.makes@gmail.com

Might just be me, but at 80% the middle support of the presupported head doesn't print right, just leaves an open circle.

I'm counting the days. Early December for me apparently.

Printing on the Bambu now. Got a second one 'cause the first one was just way to impressive.

Hahah I love it 😍

Nikola Vonfulton

I will be printing one tonight!
