Clarification: AP at the 11.23 point you mentioned oil being around $125 a gallon. Did you mean a barrel?? As for the financial institutions, some of the military credit unions have implemented draconian methods when it comes to cashing a check, no matter who issued it (i.e. Federal Government, State Government, Aunt Susie, etc.). If I go to my credit union and have $5,000 in my account and want to cash a check for $300, they will give me $125 that day, but I have to return the following day to get the remaining $175. If you live a distance away this is utterly ridiculous!!! My way around it is to withdraw that amount from my account and then deposit the check. Control, control, control.
