I believe that Freeze dried and dried goods like beans, rice, pasta... etc can be stored for long term but for pre dehydrated, canned and box food yes have a good supply of them but they need to be rotated just like the grocery stores do when they stock up food on shelf they pull all the food to the front than stock the new ones at the back so people can get the ones up front first.

Rudy, I am a bit confused regarding your position on canned goods. Basically canned goods can be stored for several years beyond the BB date of 1 to 2 years. Canned goods for me are part of diversification. I agree they should be used but you can only eat so many of your canned stores in a week. It sounds like you are saying canned veggies, etc. should not be a part of long term storage. Freeze dried and pre dehydrated products are wonderful but not affordable by many so I feel folks need to stock up on whatever they can stock up on. Maybe I am missing your point here.
