That $100 bill example was a fantastic visual AP .Another way to look at your money analogy is chiseling .That was where when gold and silver coins were used it’s value was based on its weight and people would shave a little metal off the coin( which is why coins have serrated edges now it is more symbolic) Well the government has been cutting chunks off our coins .Basically they are robbing us to keep things afloat and keep their power .
