When I hear an ambulance siren, I think of this poem. Long ago, the church bell would toll (ring) when someone dies. Today, it is an ambulance siren. When I hear a siren, I wonder, how many more sirens before it is me?? Before the Bell Tolls For Me? Every year, I celebrate my birthday, but each year, I also pass the day of my coming demise.
