Janice D Penland said No liquid, just salt. It makes it's own broth. She use less salt than AP does. She use 1/4 teas. for pints and 1/2 teas. for quarts. It's personal preference.

Thank you...

No liquid, just salt. It makes it's own broth. I use less salt than AP does. I use 1/4 teas. for pints and 1/2 teas. for quarts. He uses twice that amount. It's personal preference how much you use. I like mine a little less salt because I might add more salt to whatever recipe I use the brisket in.

Thanks Janice, now do you add water? or does it make its own liquid ...

Gloria G

Cold pack

You have my mouth watering! How did you can up the brisket? Did you add water to the jars, or was the liquid juice from the meat?

Do you cold pack or cook it before canning.

Gloria G

Thanks AP' I love canned brisket! It is sooo gooood!!!! Another meat I love to can is cubed steak. It comes out fork tender too. I don't do the traditional breading I just add a little salt and that's it. No water or broth just meat and salt. Much Love
