We can all learn from others disaster... what we need, what worked for them and what didn't work for them. AP how do you heat your home when you don't have access to a gas or solar generator? You can't run a gas generator in a apartment complex. You need sunlight to power a solar panels and to have a way to power your solar generator. Have any suggestions.

2021-02-16 21:16:58 +0000 UTCThank you AP ..... my daughter lives in TX, they lost power yesterday, she is prepare with plenty of food and water, a portable stove with plenty of fuel but no gas generator because she lives in a apartment complex and there's no direct sunlight to power a solar generator. She said she couldn't locate any firewood and as cold as it is she wouldn't have anyplace to put it for the amount she would need. (she did have some but it's all gone now) She manage to buy a Stanley Fatmax 1000 Peak Amp Power Station at Sam's Club a few days ago which has power all their electronic devices and it has a light, in 24 hrs use it only used up one bar. My daughter has a critical ill child who receives weekly treatments at the hospital and on the transplant list.... they were one of the lucky ones, the hospital admitted some of these children who required treatment into the hospital before the stormed rolled in to prevent any disruption of their services and keep them safe (my daughter was devested, she never leaves her alone at the hospital) Thank God she is safe and won't have to endure any interruptions of her medical care.... I saw this morning that not all got that invitation and they are sitting in their cars running their heaters to stay warm... My daughter was bless, her husband childhood friend contacted them this morning (checking on them) and invited them to stay with him since they have a house and power and plenty of firewood.... my daughter and her family is with them now.... Thank God, I'm in California, not much I can do at my end..... my understanding there another storm rolling in.
