w-...weekly? update?

hello patrons! sorry i missed some of the update schedule. my daughter has a new AIRBORNE ALLERGY TO STRAWBERRIES. AND PEARS. AND POSSIBLY OTHER FRUITS. a few ambulances and emergencies and epipens later, and things are settling lol. but i've still been working on stickfigurez!

it's difficult to give full updates because i've been entirely focused on getting content ready for the trailer, which is all very spoiler heavy. although i haven't put in the normal amount of hours in the last 2 weeks because of the family stuff, i've still put in a good amount, and we have others working on each character and section of the game! to give a full picture:

• exortine is working on "character 5" and most movement animations are completed along with a few attacks i made / animated myself

• i am working on "character 6" myself, and a nice hint is that stylistically they are RIGHT up my alley, so it's been going quite fast. the specials for this character are completed which is always the hardest part because they require the most custom code.

• plaguye has made most of the movement animations for "character 7" along with a few myself. this character is also pretty simple drawing wise, so they should go quick, but the specials are particularly complex

• hexal is working on the stick portion of "character 8" along side myself. this is by far the most complex character to get right, both from a visual and technical perspective, so they are gonna take some time. for now we're just making enough to reveal them in the trailer.

• this means every character is selectable and playable, and i've almost balanced out the movement speeds and air stats for each one

• JH is working on hit vfx for the game, miccool is working on smoke fx (crazy duo holy shit)

• i am still making stages myself and have mapped out 2 more, but they reveal characters so I CANNOT SHOW YOU YET IM SORRY. i may look for someone to pick up this workload since i have the style down at this point

• tictacto finished the first original song for stickfigurez, which i will upload to youtube sometime next week!

• powermeep is working on the next original song that directly ties into one of the secret characters!

so things are moving along nicely! i may take the rest of this week and next week to work on micwizard, just to be able to actually stream and be involved in the community again, and to MAYBE have him ready for the playtest on the 18th.
