WEEKLY UPDATE: PLAYTEST BEINGS ON MONDAY, AUG 19th!!

i realized i missed a week of updates and would like to apologize! had some heavy personal things happen involving that new puppy but i will not go into details.
as stated in the title, the playtest will begin on monday, and will run for 1 week! micwizard is nearing a playable state, but it may take me a few days into the playtest to get him ready to go because i took some time to focus on other areas. wee below!
for the past week i've been hard at work polishing as many areas of the game as i can to get ready for the playtest. content creators and a few articles have reached out to me interested in the game, and i have a few friends who are big names in the plattform fighter space that will be getting the game, so i'm trying to prepare for a lot more players, even if it doesn't happen! better to be prepared either way~ in order to capitalize on the hype, here are some things we've been working on!:
changed all the menus to be dark themed, so you won't blind yourself playing at night anymore.
replaced the static placeholder images on all menus with fully animated ones. this really makes our game feel unique and much more put together!
plaguye added the ability to save replays! you can now watch your previous matches, edit the camera, scrub the timeline, and even take control of your character and play frame-by-frame to test what you could have done differently!
added 3D to all stages that were previously 2D placeholders. the 3D is still just a placeholder for the finished stages, but it looks a lot prettier than the previous playtest :))
fixed various visual bugs with characters, and reworked a few animations.
david fixed the chronos grenade desync, so if we're lucky the only desyncs that will occur are from poor connections!
changed hitstun to not be so insane on moves with high damage. (getting stuck in hitstun for 10 years off of an up throw was not fun).
WHEW. we've been BUSY! and i will continue to be busy all the way up until monday when we release the playtest! make sure you join the studio bidou discord to get your playtest keys if you've supported with the appropriate tiers. i'll see you all in quickplay on monday!!

You'll need to do this on the Studio Bidou Discord server: "Where do I get my key? Make sure your Patreon and Discord accounts are connected, you will be automatically assigned a @Patreon role. Once you have the role, head on over to any channel and type /get_key!" There's more info in the #how-to-play channel
