The Skies of Arcadia video has had a really positive response. In fact, it's my best performing video in this time period by a wide margin! Picking up legitimate Dreamcast hardware to get some B-roll footage of the game or the VMU stuff would have been unthinkable a few months ago, so feeling very BLESSED to have all of your support! I really loved going through Arcadia, and look forward to forgetting *just* enough in order to replay it someday.
The next video is going to be something light, fun & weird. While doing research for the SoA video, I came across footage of the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer being announced at E3. This sent me down a rabbit hole. I've been really fascinated with this $700 paperweight. In the vein of the RPG Maker video, I'm going to be looking at every single RPG ever released for the 3DO. There is some very strange stuff going on with these games, and I'm looking forward to writing a sillier script with a more relaxed pace.
The writing & editing process for this should be pretty straightforward compared to the bigger analysis videos, I don't imagine it'll take too long. After that, I'm going to once again turn my attention toward something more ambitious.

Extremely excited to learn about what you've found. Also, just generally, I've been 10000% loving your content!! I just stumbled onto your channel about two months ago with the Legend of Dragoon vid and was instantly sold. I really appreciate having long-form RPG content I can watch in chunks throughout the week. Anything JRPG related is especially good and nostalgic, but your style has me turned on to new stuff like the Thief series too. Thanks for all the work you've been putting into these vids!!!

2023-02-14 05:23:36 +0000 UTCHopefully we find some Diamonds in the rough! My only exposure to the 3DO was the AVGN’s video done on it. I’m assuming those games he covered were just the cream of the crap, and not representative of the console as a Whole.

2023-02-13 20:46:46 +0000 UTCThis is a major reason I'm interested. People know of the 3DO but probably (reasonably) assume the software library is shovelware like the CD-I, leading to games that don't even have Wikipedia entries.

This is just *not* something that other people cover, even when doing obscure games/platforms videos. It's not completely unknown, but is always just under the radar enough to dodge all normal awareness, but too known without enough weird lore surrounding it to make it worthy of being an oddity that lots of people focus on.
