I remember hamburger @ 3lbs/$1. That was in San Francisco, 1964 and my rent was $85/month!! What a difference 56 years makes!!!

2019-10-24 13:15:12 +0000 UTCMy visit to the grocery store was a sad event. It's normally very busy on Tuesday but today, nearly empty. There was hardly anything in the meat department and small amounts of stock on the shelf. I saw many empty spaces in the fresh fruits and vegetables section. The prices on many of my purchases were 10-20% higher, eggs were up 50%! 😵 What will we see this time next year? One happy note, ground beef dropped from $4.12 lb. to $3.77. 😀
